Abstract

The aim of implementing outreach in Aru Irian Village is to increase community knowledge about maintaining environmental cleanliness and knowing the causes, behavior of dengue mosquitoes and how to prevent dengue fever. The activity was carried out in Aru Irian Village, South West Morotai Sub-district, with the implementation stages of the activity divided into 3 stages, namely preparation, counseling and evaluation. The evaluation results show that there has been an increase as indicated by an increase in knowledge about dengue fever by 64%, public knowledge about the Aedes Aegepti mosquito has increased by 64%, knowledge of mosquito breeding places has increased by 28% and knowledge of dengue prevention has increased by 76%.

Abstract

The purpose of implementing health counseling in the village of Daeo Majiko is to provide education to the public about the dangers of diarrhea and how to prevent it, increase awareness of the importance of the cleanliness of the coastal environment, and foster clean and healthy life behavior in coastal communities. The implementation of community service activities is carried out systematically through three main stages, namely the stages of preparation, implementation of counseling, and evaluation of activities. The results of the evaluation of the activity showed that the participants had increased knowledge about diarrhea, the cause of diarrhea and how to prevent and overcome them, so that this community extension activity can be said to benefit the community.

Abstract

The outreach activities that have been carried out at Red and White Dokulamo High School, West Galela District, North Halmahera Regency, aim to improve the quality of public health through the process of building awareness so that it can help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the school environment, especially for students and teachers. The method used is counseling and question and answer. The results of the activity show that students and teachers at SMU Merah Putih Dokulamo already have knowledge related with healthy living behavior which includes the habit of washing hands, using school latrines, eradicating mosquito larvae regularly, disposing of garbage regularly and participating in sports activities.

Abstract

The purpose of conducting counseling in Salimuli Village is to increase knowledge about hypertension, classification, causes and ways of prevention and control. The activity, which was attended by 25 participants of Salimuli Village, was carried out in collaboration with the Public Health Study Program of Hein Namotemo University with the Salimuli Village government, along with the implementation of Field Learning Practices (PKL) students in this village.  The results of the evaluation of the implementation of activities show that there is an increase in public knowledge, especially related to knowledge of the causes of hypertension, types of hypertension, as well as ways to prevent and overcome hypertension.
