Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis psikologi anak usia dini di TK Syarif Ar-Rasyid Binjai dengan menggunakan lensa teori perkembangan kognitif Jean Piaget. Psikologi anak usia dini merupakan cabang ilmu yang memfokuskan pada pemahaman dan analisis perkembangan psikologis anak pada rentang usia 0-6 tahun. TK Syarif Ar-Rasyid Binjai memandang bahwa setiap anak adalah individu yang unik, dengan kebutuhan perkembangan yang beragam. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan psikologi anak usia dini di TK ini diarahkan pada pemahaman mendalam terhadap karakteristik setiap anak, yang diintegrasikan ke dalam lingkungan pembelajaran. Dalam penelitian ini, metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan wawancara digunakan sebagai pendekatan untuk mengumpulkan data berupa kata-kata dan pemahaman mendalam tentang psikologi anak usia dini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teori perkembangan kognitif Piaget memberikan pedoman bagi guru dalam merancang pengalaman pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan tingkat perkembangan anak. Kesimpulannya, pemahaman mendalam tentang psikologi anak usia dini di TK Syarif Ar-Rasyid Binjai menjadi landasan bagi pengembangan strategi pendidikan yang lebih baik, memberikan dampak positif pada masa depan anak-anak dan masyarakat secara keseluruhan. Kolaborasi erat antara sekolah dan keluarga menjadi kunci keberhasilan, dengan dukungan orang tua yang menjadi faktor penentu. Dengan mengintegrasikan teori perkembangan kognitif Piaget dengan praktik pembelajaran yang kreatif, sekolah dapat menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan yang merangsang pertumbuhan holistik anak-anak.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology has transformed the landscape of early childhood education (ECE), urging educators to adopt innovative approaches in teaching. This study investigates the role of technology-based interactive methods in enhancing the creativity of ECE teachers. The sample size ranges from 30 to 50 ECE teachers, selected based on specific criteria such as teaching experience and the use of technology in the classroom. Using a quantitative descriptive-correlational method, data were collected through questionnaires from actively teaching ECE educators in Medan who utilize digital tools in the classroom. Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that components such as digital learning applications, interactive content development, technology-supported instructional design, and teacher-student digital engagement have a significant and positive effect on teacher creativity. The model demonstrated strong explanatory power, with an R² value of 67.2%. These findings highlight the potential of technology to not only enrich children's learning experiences but also to support teachers in developing more creative, engaging, and relevant teaching strategies. This research underlines the importance of digital literacy and training programs for ECE educators in the digital age.

Abstract

  This community service program aims to improve the quality of learning in early grade elementary classrooms through the implementation of a play-based learning model. The target participants were first- and second-grade teachers at SDN 060839, located at Jl. Danau Singkarak No. 2C. The identified problems included the use of monotonous teaching approaches, low levels of active student participation, and limited use of enjoyable and developmentally appropriate learning media for young learners. Through this program, the service team provided training, mentoring, and simulation sessions on the implementation of a play-based learning model using an integrative thematic approach. The model emphasizes students’ active engagement through educational games, motor activities, and simple interactive media that are easy for teachers to design and apply. The activities were conducted in several stages: initial observation, workshops/training sessions, classroom mentoring, and evaluation of implementation outcomes. The results indicate an improvement in teachers’ creativity in designing play-oriented learning activities and an increase in students’ engagement during the teaching and learning process. The program received positive responses from both teachers and the school principal, who stated that the model effectively creates a more enjoyable and meaningful learning environment for early grade students. It is recommended that this program be expanded to other grade levels to ensure broader and more sustainable impact.
