Abstract

This study aims to describe the representation of people's lives in Tere Liye's novel "The Child of the Storm" by using the theory of sociology of literature. The approach used is descriptive qualitative, with the data source in the form of the novel. Data collection methods involve techniques of reading, paying attention, noting, and coding. The results of the study show six important elements in the representation of people's lives in this novel. First, there is a representation of the environmental conditions of the community facing social problems. Second, the friendship of the children in Manowa village is an important element in representing community life. Third, courage and enthusiasm are shown in this novel. Fourth, cooperation becomes the dominant aspect in people's lives, where they always work together in everything. Fifth, responsibility is reflected in the roles of parents and children in Manowa village. Finally, the representation of the livelihoods of the Manowa people who mostly live in floating villages is also found in this study.

Abstract

Nilai adalah sesuatu yang baik untuk dilakukan dan patut dipertahankan yang melekat pada pribadi setiap manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Nilai Religius dalam Novel Air Mata Telaga Kautsar karya Muhammad dilihat dari aspek keimanan (tauhid), aspek norma kehidupan (fiqih) dan aspek sikap perilaku (akhlak). Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori Sosiologi Sastra Wellek dan Warren. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Air Mata Telaga Kautsar karya Muhammad Makhdlori. Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini berupa kata, kalimat, paragraf dan ungkapan yang mengandung nilai religius.Teknik pengumpulan data studi pustaka yang meliputi tiga Langkah yakni pembacaan, identifikasi dan pencatatan. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data objektif yang berpusat pada karya sastra. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan menunjukan bahwa Nilai Religius dalam Novel Air Mata Telaga Kautsar karya Muhammad Makhdlori meliputi nilai keimanan (tauhid) apek iman kepada Allah, takwa kepada-Nya dan taubat. Nilai norma kehidupan (fikih) meliputi aspek halal. Nilai sikap perilaku (akhlak) meliputi aspek sabar, rendah hati, tawakal, jujur, dan ikhlas.
