Abstract

This article is the result of a study conducted by the academicians at the Kampung Adat Segunung tourist destination in Carangwulung village, Jombang Regency. This research involves desk studies and field research. Kampung Adat Segunung has adopted digitalization or advanced technology to improve its tourism industry, such as initiating a website, using Instagram (and all the features), and using the loket.com application as an online ticket sales system for Kampung Adat Segunung. However, it turns out that this adaptation effort does not automatically produce significant progress in the Segunung tourism industry. In contrast, the Kampung Adat Segunung are now facing constraints as they rely heavily on third parties to manage their information and communication technology (ICT). Through a descriptive-qualitative methodology, this empirical analysis found that the concept that digitalization and advanced technology (digital technology) adaptation can automatically increase tourism needs to be improved. Digital technology adaptation must be adapted to the context of tourism locations (localization) to be more effective in driving progress. Unfortunately, Kampung Adat Segunung has difficulty addressing the problem, even though the human resources they have are still incapable of adopting digital technology. Data for this study were collected through desk research or literature study, participatory observation, and in-depth interviews with tourism managers in the Kampung Adat Segunung, Jombang.

Abstract

Museum 10 November merupakan salah museum yang bertemakan sejarah yang terdapat di Kota Surabaya. Adanya tragedi 10 november yang terjadi di Surabaya ini akhirnya melatar belakangi lahirnya monument Tugu Pahlawan yang diresmikan oleh Ir.Soekarno pada 10 november 1951 untuk mengenang jasa para pahlawan yang turut serta dalam tragedi 10 november. Di Museum 10 November sendiri terdapat fasilitas pelayanan pemanduan yang dimana bisa dinikmati wisatawan yang berkunjung. Namun, dalam pelaksanaannya masih terdapat beberapa kendala seperti kurang efektif dan maksimalnya pelaksanaan pemanduan ditemukan masih terdapat kendala. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat seperti apa pelaksanaan pemandu wisata yang ada di Museum 10 November. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data berupa observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya kendala dalam pelayanan pemanduan di Museum 10 November yang dimana adanya keterbatasan pemandu dalam menyampaikan materi secara utuh. hal ini dikarenakan ketimpangan jumlah pemandu yang ada dengan kuota wisatawan yang harus dipandu. selain itu, pemandu wisata disana juga memiliki kendala dalam pemanduan terhadap wisatawan segmen khusus dalam hal ini contoh wisatawan pengidap tuna runggu dan autisme. Pemanduan wisata yang terdapat di Museum 10 November belum sepenuhnya memenuhi aspek Prinsip Komunikasi Interpersonal yang dimana dibutuhkan oleh pemandu wisata.

Abstract

This article is the result of a study, desk and field research, which was carried out by a team of researchers at the tourist destination of the Kampung Adat Segunung, Carangwulung Village, Jombang, Indonesia. Kampung Adat Segunung has adapted digital technology to encourage their tourism, such as creating a website page, creating Instagram social media, and utilizing the loket.com application as an online ticketing system. However, the adaptations that were made did not automatically encourage tourism in Segunung to become more advanced. Kampung Adat Segunung is now burdened with their dependence on third parties as parties who provide ICT instrument management services for Kampung Adat Segunung. By using a descriptive-qualitative method, the research conducted found that the premise of digital technology adaptation can help the advancement of tourist destinations seems to have to be revised slightly. Adaptation of digital technology must meet the contextual requirements of the location where tourism is located so that it can run more effectively and succeed in driving progress. Kampung Adat Segunung has difficulty identifying this, even though the existing human resources are still not qualified to adapt digital technology. Data collection was carried out by means of library research, participatory observation, and in-depth interviews with the tourism managers of the Kampung Adat Segunung.
