Abstract

Abstract

This community service activity aims to integrate Internet of Things (IoT) technology into the monitoring system of a Microhydro Power Plant (PLTMH) in Argamukti Village, Majalengka Regency. The village has significant renewable energy potential, but challenges in real-time energy production monitoring have hindered the plant's optimal performance. By implementing an IoT-based monitoring system, the operational efficiency of the PLTMH can be significantly improved. This program includes training in IoT device installation and guidance for local communities in operating and maintaining the system. The results show a 20% increase in energy production efficiency compared to the period before the monitoring system was implemented. Furthermore, the local community is empowered to manage energy resources independently, supporting the establishment of Energy Self-Sufficient Villages. This initiative aligns with government efforts to promote renewable energy usage in rural areas. The IoT technology implementation also opens opportunities for applications in other sectors such as smart farming and water management, which can sustainably enhance the local community's welfare.

Abstract

The increasing volume of domestic wastewater, particularly greywater, has raised the demand for intelligent and adaptive treatment systems to support efficient water reuse. This study aims to develop a classification model for filtration media types (physical, chemical, and biological) based on water quality data using the Random Forest algorithm. Initial labeling was conducted using the K-Means Clustering method on a publicly available dataset simulated as greywater, based on ten key water quality parameters relevant to irrigation and environmental standards. Model evaluation demonstrated excellent classification performance, with a macro F1-score reaching 0.97 and consistent results in both 5-fold and 10-fold cross-validation. These findings indicate that the proposed model can be integrated into an IoT-based biofiltration system as an automated classification logic to support adaptive, efficient, and reusable household wastewater treatment in the context of irrigation.

Abstract

The Lembah Cisaar Museum in Sumedang, West Java, which exhibits ancient animal fossils, faces challenges in attracting visitors due to limited interactivity and less engaging presentation methods. This study aims to improve the visitor experience through the development of an Android-based Augmented Reality (AR) application. The research employs the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method, consisting of concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution, combined with usability testing. The developed application integrates 3D fossil visualizations, interactive markers, and voice-over narration using Unity, Blender, and Vuforia. Usability testing involving 40 respondents indicated that 89% of users found the application engaging, 91% reported increased interest in visiting the museum, and 92% considered the information beneficial. These findings demonstrate that AR technology can significantly enhance educational value, interactivity, and visitor engagement. The implementation of this AR application provides a modern digital solution to introduce cultural heritage, supporting the transformation of museums into accessible and technology-based educational platforms
