Abstract

This study examines the challenges faced by the Islamic Unity Student Association (HIMA PERSIS) in promoting sustainability and intellectual development within Islamic organizations in Indonesia. The research employs qualitative methodology through literature study analysis of primary sources about HIMA PERSIS and secondary sources about related organizations. The results reveal four major challenges: the dichotomy between religious and worldly knowledge, contradictions between service and cadre welfare in research activities, internal feudalism as a crisis obstacle, and the impact of stigma and stereotypes on collaboration and innovation. The findings suggest that HIMA PERSIS faces significant organizational coordination issues, resource limitations, and struggles in balancing traditional Islamic values with modern academic demands, while its implementation of the ulul albab concept remains underdeveloped within the organization's framework. Abstract

This research examines the strategic role of Islamic education in the early days of Indonesian independence in shaping the identity of national education. The main objective of this study is to reveal how the contribution of Islamic education institutions, Muslim figures, and post-independence government policies shaped the direction and character of Indonesian national education with religious, humanist, and nationalist characteristics. The methodology used is a historical qualitative approach with analysis of primary and secondary sources, such as state archives, educational documents, and the works of Islamic education figures. The results show that Islamic education has a central role in grounding the values of Pancasila and strengthening national integration through Islamic boarding schools, madrasas, and other Islamic educational institutions. The novelty of this research lies in the disclosure of historical dynamics that have received less attention in contemporary national education discourse. The implication for policy is the importance of reorienting education policy to better accommodate local and spiritual values that have proven to be the unifying force of the nation since the beginning of independence.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the urgency and relevance of applying Tarbawi Interpretation values in the teaching and learning process (KBM), by emulating the educational strategies implemented by the Prophet Muhammad SAW. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive approach, utilizing literature analysis and observations of KBM practices in Islamic educational institutions, to explore the concrete forms of integrating Tafsir Tarbawi into pedagogical practices. The findings indicate that Tafsir Tarbawi, as an approach to interpreting the Quran that focuses on educational values and character development, makes a significant contribution to building a learning system that is not only cognitive but also affective and spiritual. By adopting the holistic, dialogical, and exemplary (uswah hasanah) educational methods of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, KBM is expected to create a more meaningful learning process, shape students with noble character, and instill Qur’anic values in daily life. The implementation of Tafsir Tarbawi values can revitalize the role of teachers as spiritual and intellectual educators, while also positioning the Qur’an as the primary source for character development and competency building among students in the contemporary era.

Abstract

Digital transformation has affected various aspects of human life, including da'wah in the Islamic context. This article explores the impact and implications of the digitalization transformation in da'wah practice from the conventional way of da'wah that is limited in reach and thus lacks audience engagement, to through the use of information and communication technology, da'wah becomes more accessible, disseminated, and understood by the wider community. Digital approaches also allow for new opportunities to interact with audiences globally and expand the reach of religious messages. However, along with these opportunities, some challenges need to be addressed, such as content accuracy, data security, and the diversity of religious interpretations. This article is written using the Literature Study method, which hopes to produce scientific research related to Digital Da'wah. So that with a deep understanding of this, digital da'wah can be an effective tool for Islamic Empowered to strengthen religious communication, promote tolerance, and build cross-cultural understanding within today's global diversity framework. An emphasis on collaboration, quality research, and a sustainable visionary direction is needed to optimize the transformative potential of digitalization in future da'wah activities.

Abstract

This research is important to understand how Muhammadiyah, as one of the largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia, transforms its da'wah strategy in facing the challenges and opportunities of globalization. The purpose of this study is to analyze the dynamics of Muhammadiyah's da'wah transformation as a socio-religious movement and its implications for the role of Islam and nationality in the global era. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach with literature study methods and critical discourse analysis of official documents, da'wah media, as well as organizational policies, this study found that Muhammadiyah has adopted a digitalization approach to da'wah, strengthening global issues such as social and ecological justice, and developing international networks. These results show that Muhammadiyah's da'wah has not only undergone technical changes, but also ideological transformation towards a progressive Islam that is globally relevant. The novelty of the research lies in the integrative mapping between globalization and local value-based da'wah strategies. The implications of these findings can be an important consideration in the formulation of national da'wah policies that are responsive to global dynamics and able to strengthen the position of Indonesian Islam in the international arena.
