Abstract

Psychosocial crises in the elderly can cause trauma, life crises, and disrupt psychological well-being. The elderly are vulnerable to psychosocial crises, so interventions are needed to prevent or solve problems. This study aims to determine the types of community-based psychosocial crisis interventions for the elderly. Based on a literature search on five databases, nine studies were found in the last five years that used community-based psychosocial crisis interventions and proved to be effective in the elderly. The programs included C4C, Assistive Technology Application, Qigong, Gardening, CCP, SoBeezy, Dance, BAILAMOS™, and WE-RISE. Some of the intervention programs were used for the elderly with a diagnosis of mental illness and the general elderly. Community-based psychosocial crisis interventions are effective in older adults with or without a history of mental illness This study also offers future research directions for further research.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the ethical crisis in electoral politics in Indonesia and its implications for the nation's constitutional system. Electoral democracy, as the embodiment of people's sovereignty, has recently been challenged by political behavior that prioritizes identity politics, hoaxes, and transactional practices. The urgency of writing this article is based on the moral decline in political competition during elections, especially ahead of the 2024 presidential election. Using normative juridical methods with a conceptual and statutory approach, this article analyzes the role of political institutions and the legal framework in restoring ethical democracy. The results show that Indonesia’s electoral process still lacks an ethical foundation that can produce statesmanlike leaders. Thus, revitalizing the function of political parties, strengthening the role of electoral institutions, and embedding moral education in political recruitment are critical steps toward a dignified democratic system. electoral politics

Abstract

This study aims to examine cybercrime from a criminological perspective. The rapid development of information and communication technology has led to the growth of cybercrime, along with society's increasing dependence on digital technology. Cybercrime is a threat that cannot be ignored due to its widespread impact across various sectors of society, ranging from data theft and system sabotage, virus spread, electronic fraud, to politically motivated crimes and cyberterrorism. A criminological study of cybercrime is crucial in providing an understanding of the characteristics, motivations, and social impacts of these crimes. This study utilizes criminological theories to understand why individuals commit cybercrime and assesses the effectiveness of the role of law enforcement officials in Indonesia in combating it, based on the legal regulations of Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE), which was later amended by Law Number 19 of 2016 in conjunction with Law Number 1 of 2024 and Law Number 27 of 2022 concerning Personal Data Protection (PDP Law).
