Abstract

ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus (DM) increases every year, Indonesia is one of the largest contributors to diabetes patients. Diabetes mellitus (DM) is caused by disruption of metabolism in the pancreas resulting in high blood sugar levels or hyperglycemia. The aim of this research is to analyze Diabetes Mellitus in Perdamin Village with the aim of preventing Diabetes Mellitus. This research uses quantitative methods with a cross sectional design. The population in this study was all residents of Peace Village. The sample in this study was taken using cluster random sampling technique, 379 people were selected as respondents in this study. Univariate data analysis and Chi Square test. The results of the study stated that there was a significant relationship between the habit of eating sweet foods and diabetes mellitus (pv < 0.05). With a POR value = 1.146 and there is a significant relationship between habitual physical activity every day and Diabetes Mellitus (pv < 0.05). With a POR value = 1.131. The role of health workers is needed in providing health education through counseling to the Peace Village community on how to reduce the risk of Diabetes Mellitus, especially in the elderly and women. Keywords: Diabetes Melitus, Elderly, Risk Factor  ABSTRAK Diabetes melitus (DM) meningkat setiap tahunnya, Indonesia salah satu penyumbang terbanyak pasien diabetes. Diabetes melitus (DM) diakibatkan karena terganggunya metabolisme pada pankreas sehingga kadar gula darah menjadi tinggi atau hiperglikemia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis penyakit Diabetes Melitus di Desa Perdamain yang bertujuan untuk upaya pencegahan penyakit Diabetes Melitus. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh penduduk desa perdamaian. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil menggunakan Teknik random sampling kluster sebanyak 379 orang dipilih sebagai responden dalam penelitian ini. Analisis data univariat dan uji Chi Square. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara terbiasa makan makanan manis dengan diabetes melitus (pv < 0.05). Dengan nilai POR = 1.146 dan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara terbiasa beraktivitas fisik setiap hari dengan Diabetes Melitus (pv < 0.05). Dengan nilai POR = 1.131. Diperlukan peran tenaga kesehatan dalam memberikan pendidikan kesehatan melalui penyuluhan kepada masyarakat Desa perdamaian tentang cara menurunkan risiko penyakit Diabetes Melitus terutama pada usia lansia dan perempuan. Kata kunci: Diabetes Melitus, Faktor Risiko, Lansia

Abstract

In lifting and transporting activities, many are still done manually, so in this activity, it is necessary to have the correct work posture when carrying out lifting and transporting goods. Lifting activities with the wrong working posture can increase the risk of occupational diseases, namely musculoskeletal disorders. This study aims to find out whether there is an influence of work posture on musculoskeletal disorders. The research method used is a literature review of seven journals that have been selected based on inclusion criteria. The results of this study showed that in lifting and transporting activities, work posture affects musculoskeletal disorders, so there is a need to improve the abnormal working posture in lifting activities.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Job Safety Analysis (JSA) aims to improve workplace safety by identifying potential hazards in a job or process. Through this analysis, each stage of the job can be evaluated for risk so that appropriate precautions can be taken to prevent accidents or incidents from occurring. The purpose of this study is to analyze a series of iron fabrication activities to find sources of danger and how to control these hazards. This research is qualitative research. The research data used are primary data and secondary data. The data collection methods are interviews, documents, and observations, direct observation of the iron fabrication work division of the Medan Merdeka Field Revitalization project. Data processing was conducted by this research using Job Safety Analysis (JSA). The results of the study found that the hazard that often arises in iron fabrication work is pinched. This is because the stages of work, starting from iron slicing, transporting iron to the machine, and operating the machine, have the potential for pinched hazards that can be experienced by workers, such as limbs that can be pinched by iron, limbs that can be pinched by bar cutting machines, and fingers that can be pinched by bar bending machines. There are hazards that iron fabrication workers must be aware of, namely physical, mechanical, electrical, and ergonomic hazards. Keywords: Iron Fabrication, JSA, Pinch, Work Accident
