Abstract

Insomnia is a condition where sleep needs are not met in both quantity and quality. According to Chowdhury, et al (2021) insomnia is a sleep disorder characterized by conditions of difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep, waking up in the morning and not being able to fall asleep again, even with adequate opportunities and conditions for sleep. Individuals who experience insomnia feel excessive sleepiness during the day due to insufficient quantity and quality of sleep. This study aims to determine the incidence of insomnia in students of the Faculty of Nursing, Riau University. This research is a quantitative study using a descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample was 257 respondents who were taken based on the inclusion criteria using the proportionated stratified random sampling technique. All respondents filled out google forms related to respondent characteristic data and ISI questionnaires. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis and presented in a frequency distribution table. The results of this study showed 60.7% of respondents experienced insomnia with the most sleep problems, namely difficulty falling asleep (74.7%), the majority of respondents were early adulthood (56.8%) and female (89.1%).

Abstract

Menurut Survei Sosial Ekonomi Nasional (SUSENAS) yang dilakukan pada tahun 2019, makanan dan minuman jadi termasuk teh kemasan dan minuman bersoda 26,32%, sari buah kemasan, minuman kesehatan, dan minuman berenergi 22,66% kopi, kopi susu, teh dan susu coklat sebesar 58,82%. Konsumsi minuman berpemanis di Indonesia menduduki peringkat ketiga di Asia Tenggara yaitu sebanyak 20,23 liter/orang. Konsumsi minuman berpemanis yang tinggi berkontribusi pada peningkatan angka mortalitas dan angka morbiditas akibat obesitas, diabetes dan penyakit kardiovaskular, menarche dini, dismenore dan penurunan kesuburan. Desain penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross-sectionaldengan jumlah sampel penelitian 229 responden mengisi google form kuesioner BEVQ yang telah dimodifikasi. Analisis data dengan analisis univariat dan disajikan dalam tabel distribusi frekuensi. Mayoritas responden berusia dewasa awal (57,2%), uang saku harian sedang (86%), alasan mengkonsumsi minuman berpemanis karena preferensi atau kesukaan terhadap rasa manis (66,4), kebiasaan ?20x per bulan (50,7%) dan jenis minuman yang paling banyak dikonsumsi yaitu teh (46,7%). Peneliti menyarankan agar dapat mengurangi kebiasaan konsumsi minuman berpemanis yang berlebihan untuk menghindari dampak negatif dari minuman berpemanis ini dan dapat menormalisasi selalu membawa atau membeli minuman dengan kandungan yang sehat, salah satunya air putih.

Abstract

SStunting is still a child health problem in Indonesia with a fairly high prevalence, namely 21.6%. The government has made various efforts to tackle the problem of stunting, especially in Benteng Hulu Village, Siak Regency, which is one of the focus locations for handling stunting. The aim of this activity is to increase parents' knowledge about balanced nutrition for toddlers as a form of effort to prevent and treat stunting. The activity method is carried out in collaboration with posyandu cadres for stunting education using audiovisual media: videos, flip sheets and leaflets with material on nutrition and stunting problems, efforts to prevent and handle stunting, and developing balanced nutritional intake for toddlers. The educational activity involved 37 respondents, namely mothers with toddlers. The results obtained were that the average respondent before being given stunting education had a poor level of understanding (51.4%), and a sufficient level of understanding of 48.6%. After being provided with education, there was an increase in understanding to sufficient (40.5%) and a good level of understanding (59.5%). In addition, there was an increase in skills in conducting health education among posyandu cadres. It is hoped that this educational activity can be continued routinely at the posyandu by cadres with a combination of educational media so that the knowledge provided can change people's lifestyle behavior to become healthier
