Abstract

This study is motivated by issues in teachers’ pedagogical competence, which directly affect the quality of learning. Pedagogical competence is a key ability in designing, implementing, and evaluating learning, yet many teachers still face challenges in its application. Two factors presumed to influence pedagogical competence are principals’ transformational leadership and work culture. The objectives of this study are to examine: (1) the effect of principals’ transformational leadership on teachers’ pedagogical competence, (2) the effect of work culture on teachers’ pedagogical competence, and (3) the simultaneous effect of both factors on the pedagogical competence of elementary school teachers in Pabelan District, Semarang Regency. The research employed a quantitative correlational design. The population consisted of 193 elementary school teachers, with a sample of 130 teachers selected using proportional random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability, and analyzed using classical assumption tests, simple linear regression, and multiple regression. The results revealed that (1) transformational leadership has a significant positive effect on pedagogical competence (t = 10.909 > t-table = 1.978) with a contribution of 48.20% (moderate category); (2) work culture also has a significant positive effect (t = 10.181 > t-table = 1.978) with a contribution of 44.70% (moderate category); and (3) multiple regression analysis confirmed that both variables jointly influence pedagogical competence, contributing 60% (strong category). These findings emphasize that optimal transformational leadership and a solid work culture can significantly enhance teachers’ pedagogical competence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode diskusi kelompok dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas V SD Negeri Padaraang, serta mengidentifikasi berbagai hambatan yang dihadapi dan dampak yang ditimbulkannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan metode diskusi kelompok telah berjalan secara bertahap dan mendapat dukungan dari kebijakan sekolah. Namun, masih ditemukan kendala dalam hal fasilitas, waktu, serta keaktifan siswa. Beberapa siswa juga masih bersikap pasif dan kurang percaya diri dalam berdiskusi. Meskipun demikian, metode ini berdampak positif terhadap proses dan hasil belajar, meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara, keberanian dalam mengemukakan pendapat, penguatan kerjasama antar siswa, serta terjalinnya hubungan sosial yang lebih baik di dalam kelas. Oleh karena itu, metode diskusi kelompok dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang efektif untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aktif dan kolaboratif di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Every woman will experience the menopause period in her life. In this period changes occur both physically and psychologically. This is a result of physiological hormonal adaptations, especially estrogen and progesterone. Decreased estrogen levels cause several complaints such as hot flashes, easy body pain, sleep disorders, headaches, dyspareunia, and mood disorders. For this reason, good adaptations are needed to be able to experience the menopause period happily, one of which is consuming foods high in phytoestrogen content. This activity aims to provide education to women regarding physiological changes including common complaints and provide alternative foods high in phytoestrogen content in the form of soybean yoghurt called Soghumen (Soya Yoghurt for Menopause). Education was provided in the form of videos, which were also Soghumen, given to 8 pre-menopausal and menopausal women, then interviews were conducted to assess perceptions of soybean yogurt products. Respondents' perceptions of Soghumen include the taste being considered quite good and almost the same as yogurt products in general, the packaging needs to be adjusted to the texture of the yogurt, namely, it is better to use bottles, other flavors need to be added such as fruit. In general, this product can be accepted by menopausal women as an alternative to foods high in phytoestrogen content. Further research regarding products needs to be carried out in collaboration with nutrition experts.
