Abstract

Abstract Academic supervision plays a crucial role in assisting teachers to enhance their skills in the era of the Merdeka Curriculum. This research aims to explore the role of academic supervision in improving teachers' skills in the Merdeka Curriculum era at Elementary Schools. Utilizing a qualitative method through Systematic Literature Review (SLR), subsequent analysis will be conducted on a number of relevant studies. Through literature review and identification of effective approaches in academic supervision implementation and its impact on enhancing teachers' skills. The research findings indicate that academic supervision oriented towards collaborative learning, constructive feedback, and professional development significantly impacts improving the quality of education in Elementary Schools. However, there are several challenges in effectively implementing academic supervision in the Merdeka Curriculum era, including paradigm shifts, the crucial role of supervisors' skills, and the need for adequate time and resources. The implications of this research include the importance of developing structured and sustainable supervision programs as efforts to support the improvement of education quality in the era of the Merdeka Curriculum. Abstrak Supervisi akademik berperan sangat penting dalam membantu guru meningkatkan keterampilan pada era Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali peran supervisi akademik dalam meningkatkan keterampilan guru pada era Kurikulum Merdeka di Sekolah Dasar. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui Sistematic Literature Review (SLR), selanjutnya akan dilakukan analisis pada sejumlah penelitian-penelitian yang relevan. Melalui tinjauan terhadap literatur, dan melakukan identifikasi pendekatan-pendekatan yang efektif dalam pelaksanaan supervisi akademik serta dampaknya terhadap peningkatan keterampilan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi akademik yang berorientasi pada pembelajaran kolaboratif, pemberian umpan balik konstruktif, dan pengembangan profesionalisme guru memiliki dampak yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di Sekolah Dasar. Namun terdapat beberapa tantangan dalam pelaksanaan supervisi akademik secara efektif dalam era Kurikulum Merdeka yang mencakup perubahan paradigma, keterampilan supervisor sangat penting, diperlukan waktu dan sumber daya yang memadai. Implikasi penelitian ini mencakup pentingnya pengembangan program supervisi yang terstruktur dan berkelanjutan sebagai upaya mendukung peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di era Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the strategies employed by school principals to enhance the performance of primary school teachers by conducting a comprehensive analysis of existing literature, highlighting effective strategies, implementing these strategies at the primary school level, and evaluating their impact on teacher performance. The research findings are expected to provide valuable insights for school leaders and education stakeholders regarding effective strategies, their implementation, and their effects on teacher performance. The literature review method is utilized to gather and analyze information from various relevant sources. It is hoped that this research will contribute to creating a more supportive educational environment for teacher development, improving overall education standards, particularly at the primary school level, and refining educational practices through the informed implementation of strategies derived from this extensive review, thereby laying a strong foundation for advancing future generations.
