Abstract

The internalization of character values in the boarding-schools should ideally be designed to answering the challenges of the context of Indonesia as a multicultural country. This study aims to reconstruct the character cultivation through the multicultural boarding school system as an internalization model of marine leadership characters. This study employed a single-holistic case study in a Senior High School of Taruna Nala, East Java, Indonesia, that implemented a boarding school system. The data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentary analysis, and the results was presented interactively. The data sources studied were determined by purposive sampling and snowball sampling. The data validity was tested with four criteria: credibility, dependability, confirmability, and transferability. This study found that the character of maritime leadership is the reponsive (tanggap), tough (tanggon), and agile (trengginas) as unique-intelligent characters that must be mastered by senior high schools in Indonesia as a maritime country. To make it happens, the internalization of character values can be done through a cultivation model, like in planting, consisting of: (1) determining the goals, (2) the seeds selection, (3) land cultivation, (4) planting the seeds, (5) maintenance, and (6) fertilization. The model is carried out in full through the boarding system education system.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengkaji manajemen peningkatan mutu madrasah melalui skema kemitraan tritunggal bagi madrasah sasaran program Kemitraan Pendidikan Australia Indonesia (KPAI) di Kabupaten Malang. Penelitian difokuskan pada tiga hal: (1) landasan hukum kemitraan tritunggal, (2) konstruksi manajemen peningkatan mutu madrasah berbasis kemitraan tritunggal, dan (3) bentuk-bentuk kegiatan manajemen peningkatan mutu madrasah berbasis kemitraan tritunggal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif metode studi multisitus, Penelitian ini menyasar tiga Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) yang menjadi sasasaran program KPAI yakni MI Bustanul Uqul, MI Raden Patah, dan MI Thoriqul Huda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) landasan hukum atas program kemitraan tritunggal dilandasi oleh Keputusan Direktur Pendidikan Madrasah Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Islam Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia, Nomor Dj.I/Dt.I.I/4/Hm.01/578.A/2014, (2) manajemen peningkatan mutu madrasah berbasis kemitraan tritunggal terdiri atas skema pemberian dana pendukung (hibah), pendampingan (mentoring), pelatihan (training) serta tambahan penilaian endline program oleh mentor, trainer, dan asessor independen yang direkrut secara terbuka oleh Madrasah Development Center (MDC) sebagai kepanjangan tangan KPAI di tingkat distrik/propinsi, dan (3) bentuk-bentuk program kemitraan lebih didominasi oleh penyelenggaraan kegiatan-kegiatan non-fisik melalui pendampingan dan pelatihan yang mencakup Pengembangan Madrasah Efektif (PME) dan Manajemen Berbasis Madrasah (MBM) yang selanjutnya melahirkan program pendampingan (mentoring) penyusunan Evaluasi Diri Madrasah (EDM) dan Rencana Kerja Madrasah (RKM), dilanjutkan berbagai pelatihan dan pendampingan lanjutan berupa program hidup sehat , penyusunan dan pengembangan kurikulum madrasah, PAIKEM, program peningkatan kapasitas perpustakaan, serta pengelolaan adinistrasi dan keuangan madrasah.

Abstract

This study aims to improve students' understanding of thematic subjects Theme 8 Sub-theme 1 learning 2 Subjects the Water Cycle through the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning method. Understanding is how a person maintains, differentiates, suspects, explains, expands, concludes, generalizes, provides examples, rewrites, and estimates. Understanding can be seen and measured by seeing the extent to which students can explain an event or material using their own language. This research method uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is integrated simultaneously, with a Quantitative Approach approach. This type of research used in this research is a critical study. The results showed that through the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning method was proven to increase students' understanding. In the first cycle the learning outcomes of students reached an average of 81.6%, and the percentage of completeness was 83.3%. In the second cycle the learning outcomes of students reached an average of 88.63%, the percentage of completeness was 88.8%.

Abstract

This community service is implemented in RW. 06 Cempaka Putih Puri Arjowinangun District of Kedungkandang Malang City. Initial condition of citizen RW. 06 still can not manage the garbage well. With regard to the condition, the participation of citizens in the management of garbage through the pioneering garbage bank is carried out with the purpose of the community to understand the principles of garbage management and concern for environmental health Increased. There are two approaches that authors use in the stub of garbage banks, namely Apreciative Inquiry and Working Out Loud. Both approaches are then described in the four stages of implementation of the program, namely Phase 1 (14-26 October 2018): Program planning, Phase 2 (27 October 2018): Socialization of environmental health, Phase 3 (28 October – 9 November 2018): Planning and Garbage Bank arrangement, and Phase 4 (10 November 2018): Socialization and inauguration of trash Bank. From the 4 stages of implementation of activities that have been applied, it can be concluded that the pioneering garbage bank can increase the participation of residents in the waste management of RW residents. 06 Kelurahan Arjowinangun, Kecamatan Kedungkandang Malang City.

Abstract

Sendang Biru merupakan salah satu kawasan pesisir yang menjadi prioritas dalam upaya pengelolaan sumberdaya perikanan laut di Kabupaten Malang Jawa Tmur. Pengembangan tersebut menjadikan Sendang Biru sebagai sentra industri perikanan tangkap. Hubungan sosial yang dilakukan oleh pengambek dengan pemilik kapal (juragan darat) mengarah pada hubungan patron- client, dimana hubungan antar individu tidaklah sama, terutama dari sisi ekonomi. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan transformasi produk dari hasil tangkapan ikan laut untuk menciptakan aktivitas industri berbasis cycle system melalui kegiatan entrepreneurship guna merintis UMKM yang ada di kalangan nelayan pantai sendangbiru. Proses pelaksanaan dalam program ini mencakup tiga tahap yaitu: (1) perencanaan, (2) pelaksanaan, (3) evaluasi. Pengabdian awali dengan pemberian wawasan tentang peluang bisnis di Pantai Sendangbiru, teknik pengemasan dan strategi pemasaran yang sesuai dengan produk yang akan dibuat. Program dilanjutkan dengan pendampingan intensif pembuatan transformasi produk dari hasil tangkapan ikan yang berupa kerupuk ikan, pengemasan yang menarik hingga pencarian tempat strategis untuk memasarkan produk ini. Serangkaian kegiatan tersebut diikuti oleh 20 nelayan di wilayah pantai sendangbiru. Kegiatan entrepreneur yang dilakukan ini menjadi solusi permasalahan melimpahnya hasil tangkapan ikan yang berharga rendah di pasar, dan memaksimalkan pemanfaatan ikan tangkapan. Nelayan inilah yang akan menjadi pioner pendirian UKKM di wilayah pantai sendangbiru sebagai solusi permasalahan mereka kedepannya.

Abstract

Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study aims to describe how the Islamic storey method is being used to infuse moral religion into young children at TK TAAM Adinda Kepatihan Menganti Gresik, as well as what is supporting and obstructing this process. TAAM Adinda Kepatihan Menganti Gresik is a TK TAAM institution. From these findings, it can be deduced that the use of the Islamic storey method to infuse moral religion into TK TAAM Adinda Kepatihan Menganti Gresik is effective. When it comes to preparation, the educator has done both personal and technical things exceptionally well. Teachers use the model of development education gallop in RPPM (Rencana Pelaksaan Pembelajaran Mingguan/implementation plan of learning weekly/implementation plan of learning daily) as a result of the curriculum development 2013 containing about aqida, syari'ah, dan akhlak in order to teach students in the materialistic world about aqidah, syari'ah, dan akhlak. It is the educator's job to use a variety of methods to teach. In terms of media, the educator prefers to employ audio and visual media rather than storybooks and slates in their teaching. When it comes to assessing students, educators use methods such as question and answer sessions, direct observation, and discussions with parents and guardians. With the help of other educators, the environment, and learning itself, TAAM Adinda has implemented a method based on an Islamic storey to help instil moral values in the school's kindergarten population. Aside from a time barrier, management class, and tools to tell stories, there are additional factors. At the same time, both stimulants and deterrents have been operating.

Abstract

Abstract: This research focuses on the transformational leadership model of school principals in empowering teachers as multicultural capital at SMA SPI Batu City, Indonesia. The study aims to understand and finding the role of school principals in promoting multiculturalism and developing multicultural capital in the educational environment. A qualitative approach was employed, using a holistic single case study at SMA SPI, with data collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings demonstrate the interrelationships between the dimensions of teachers' multicultural capital, the feedback provided by the principal's transformational leadership, and the objectives of the feedback on the teacher's multicultural dimension. The principal's feedback aims to foster multicultural understanding, enhance inclusive teaching practices, promote effective intercultural communication, and organize multicultural activities. The study emphasizes the crucial role of the principal's transformational leadership in empowering teachers and creating an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment. The findings contribute valuable insights into how principal leadership can build multicultural capital in educational institutions, promoting respect, inclusivity, and academic growth among students. Abstract

Kurikulum 2013’s is actually a government program that has been rolled out since then. However, in practice, there are still many teachers who have difficulties to implement it, especially in the case of the implementation of authentic assessments. This was experienced by the teachers of MINU Curungrejo Kepanjen Malang Regency. On this basis, the program focused on helping a teacher to improve understanding of Curriculum 2013 implementation (K-13) that relates to assessment. Various assessments must be carried out, namely; optical assessment, assessment of learning outcomes, Assessment of mastery learning, class assessment, and attitude assessment. The community service method in this activity uses two phases; the School Action Research and the Outcome Mapping. The results of the activities were carried out for six weeks starting from August to September 2018. They showed that intensive training and mentoring through School Action Research (SAR) and Outcome Mapping (OM) can improve the ability of teachers to implement the 2013 curriculum.
