Abstract

Elevations in blood pressure and pulse might result from changes in the cardiovascular system that occur with aging, including the loss of artery flexibility. Motion-based exercise for the elderly increases the release of hormones that relax the patient by stimulating the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Senior gymnastics is an excellent physical activity for removing fat and cholesterol from blood vessels. This study aimed to determine the impact of senior exercise on hypertension in the older population in the Dukugawing Block, Kepunduan Village, Dukuntang District, and Cirebon Regency. The pre-experimental research design employed in this study included 34 senior hypertensive participants in a one-group pre-posttest design using simple total sampling. As the data were normally distributed, a paired t-test was used for data analysis after blood pressure was taken using a sphygmomanometer and elderly gymnastics was measured using a standard operating procedure (SOP). As a result of the intervention, the average blood pressure dropped from 150/94 mmHg to 140/90 mmHg, according to the data. After administering an aged exercise intervention for the elderly in the Dukugawing Block, Kepunduan Village, Dukuntang District, Cirebon Regency, a paired sample t-test analysis yielded a p-value = 0.00 <0.05, indicating a significant difference in blood pressure before and after participation.

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) in 2016 showed that in 2015 there were 23 million or around 54% of total deaths caused by Congestive Heart Failure (CHF). Based on a doctor's diagnosis, the prevalence of heart failure is around 1.5% or 29,550 people. Meanwhile, according to diagnosis or symptoms, the estimated number of heart failure sufferers is 0.4% or around 29,880 people. CHF, commonly known as congestive heart failure, is the heart's inability to pump adequate blood to meet the tissue's need for oxygen and sufficient nutrients, causing cardiac output that should be normal to decrease and causing chest pain. This study aims to determine nursing care for CHF patients in the ICCU room at Rsu Gunung Jati, Cirebon City. After applying nursing care to patient Mr. U using a case study method consisting of assessment, nursing diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation which was carried out for 2 days. The results showed that the nursing diagnosis of decreased cardiac output was partially resolved, the problem of gas exchange disorders was resolved, and the final diagnosis, namely anxiety, was resolved on day 2 of treatment.

Abstract

The World Health Organization has determined that the average rate of sectio cesarean delivery in a country is around 5-15% per 1,000 births. Sectio cesarean delivery is the process of giving birth surgically by making incisions in the mother's abdomen (laparotomy) and uterus (hysterotomy) to remove the baby. One of the effects of SC is post-SC pain, which is caused by an incision or tear in the tissue of the front abdominal wall. Pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience that results from actual and potential tissue damage, regardless of the nature, pattern, or cause of the pain. This study aims to describe the disturbance of a sense of security and comfort due to pain in post-Sectio Caesarea patients at Sumber Kasih Cirebon Hospital. This study uses a case study method by applying nursing care to the patient Mrs. for assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The results showed that the patient's comfort and pain disorders could be overcome, with the patient no longer complaining of pain and the pain scale reduced from 5 to 1. Thus, the patient's problem can be said to be resolved. The implications of this study indicate that appropriate nursing interventions can significantly reduce post-sectio cesarean pain, thereby improving the quality of life of postoperative patients.
