Abstract

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are a musculoskeletal disorder characterized by an injury to the muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves, joints, cartilage, bones or blood vessels of the hands, feet, head, neck or back. MSDs can be caused or exacerbated by work, work environment and work performance. Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) are one of the most common occupational diseases, ranking second among all cases of occupational diseases, in Indonesia the prevalence of musculoskeletal problems is 7.3%. The purpose of this study is to determine the contributing factors to the development of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) among employees in the education sector. A cross-sectional design was employed as the research methodology, and the sample size consisted of fifty education sector employees. Direct observation, in-person interviews using questionnaires, as well as taking pictures and videos of the work, were the methods used to collect data. Binary logistic regression was used for data analysis in order to ascertain the association between MSDs and work-related variables such as manual lifting, repetitive motions, and body position. The findings of the study indicated that 48% of participants complained of MSDs in the upper body, and most employees had bad posture. Abstract

Industri pengolahan kelapa sawit merupakan salah satu sektor utama perekonomian Indonesia. Seiring berkembangnya industri, tentu terdapat tantangan dalam meningkatkan efisiensi produksi dan memastikan kesejahteraan pekerja. Dalam hal ini aspek keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja perlu diperhatikan, salah satunya adalah aspek ergonomi. Pada pekerjaan box preparation ini pekerja bertugas untuk menyiapkan box, merakit box dan melakukan sealing box bagian bawah. Pekerjaan dilakukan secara berulang dengan posisi leher menekuk, rotasi lengan bawah secara cepat, gerakan lengan intensif, dan berdiri dalam jangka waktu yang lama. Berdasarkan hasil survei keluhan Gangguan Otot Rangka Akibat Kerja (GOTRAK) didapatkan hasil bahwa seluruh pekerja pernah mengalami rasa sakit/nyeri atau ketidaknyamanan akibat bekerja dengan tingkat risiko bahaya tinggi sebesar 19%. Tingkat risiko bagian tubuh paling tinggi adalah bagian tangan, kaki, pinggul, dan betis sehingga diperlukan adanya analisis ergonomi pada pekerjaan box preparation sesuai dengan SNI 9011:2021. Hasil dari analisis menunjukan bahwa pekerjaan box preparation berada pada kategori berbahaya dengan total skor sebesar 8. Diperlukan rekomendasi perbaikan dengan memberikan usulan perbaikan stasiun kerja yang disimulasikan menggunakan software CATIA. Rekomendasi usulan perbaikan stasiun kerja memiliki efektivitas untuk menurunkan total skor dari 8 (berbahaya) menjadi 6 (perlu dikaji lebih jauh dan diperbaiki).
