Abstract

Dalam menghadapi perlehatan akbar yang diadakan dalam kurun 4 tahun sekali, Pekan Olahraga Nasional merupakan ajang “unjuk gigi” bagi para insan olahragawan di Indonesia. Banyak hal yang perlu dipersiapkan mulai dari venue, perangkat pertandingan, sarana prasarana yang mendukung hingga pada kesiapan masyarakat dalam menyambut “Pesta” ini. Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi atlet untuk dapat meraih prestasi dalam sebuah ajang olahraga diantaranya, kesiapan fisik, latihan yang intensif, kematangan strategi hingga pada kesehatan mental bertanding. Tidak jarang mental merupakan faktor penentu peryandingan. Lama latihan dan kemampuan fisik serta startegi yang baik akan hancur diarena pertandingan jika mental atlet itu sendiri tidak dibina. Kesehatan mental atlet akan semakin terganggu seiring dengan semakin dekatnya waktu pertandingan. Pelatih yang baik tentunya mempersiapkan dan memperhatikan anak asuhnya dari segala aspek. Dalam upaya memberikan pembinaan mental para atlet, kegiatan pengabdian ini mencoba mengidentifikasi fakta dilapangan. Data diambil secara faktual dari individual atlet dengan menggunakan pendekatan personal dan juga kuesioner sebagai pendukung data. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bagaimana kesehatan mental masing-masing atlet sebelum bertanding, sehingga pelatih dapat mengambil langkah dalam mendorong, memotivasi hingga mendoktrinasi atlet yang memiliki gangguan mental.  Kecemasan, rasa takut, konsentrasi yang menurun, rasa percaya diri yang kurang, tidak adanya semangat, agresivitas yang hilang, hingga kecerdasan dalam bertanding merupakan faktor mental yang mempengaruhi performa diatas arena. Jika sedini mungkin faktor tersebut dapat diminimalisir, maka 75% kemenangan atlet sudah didepan mata. Mental yang sehat dalam bertanding akan sangat mempengaruhi penampilan. Sekuat apapun lawan akan sangat mudah ditaklukkan jika atlet memiliki mental yang baik. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini memberikan pendampingan terhadap kesehatan mental atlet Pelatda Pencak Silat Sumut dalam persiapan menghadapi pertandingan PON XXI Tahun 2024.

Abstract

This study utilises the survey methodology to gather descriptive information. SMA Negeri 19 Medan boasts a wide range of resources and infrastructure that effectively support the implementation of physical education, health, and sports (PJOK) education. The aim of this inquiry is to determine the presence, amount, and state of these facilities and infrastructure at SMA Negeri 19 Medan. The study focuses on examining the facilities and infrastructure related to physical education, health, and sports (PJOK) at SMA Negeri 19 Medan. The study subject encompasses the entirety of the population under consideration. The PJOK facilities will be the focus of examination in this particular case. The findings of this analysis suggest that the infrastructure and amenities provided for each sport are unique. This applies universally to all sports, including acrobatics, athletics, volleyball, basketball, and football. Unlike game sports facilities, which exhibit a 50% rate of adherence and a 50% rate of non-adherence, athletic sports facilities demonstrate a 40% rate of adherence and a 60% rate of non-adherence. The compliance rate of gymnastics facilities is 14%, while the noncompliance rate is 86%. The compliance rate of infrastructure facilities is 67%, while the noncompliance rate is 33%. Therefore, it can be inferred that the average percentage result for all the physical education, health, and sports (PJOK) facilities and infrastructure at SMA Negeri 19 Medan is 39%, indicating that it meets the criteria, and 61%, indicating that it does not meet the norms. The physical education, health, and sports (PJOK) facilities and infrastructure at SMA Negeri 19 Medan do not satisfy the standards set by the Regulation of the Minister of National Education Number 24 of 2007. They fall short of the minimum requirement by less than fifty percent. Therefore, it is reasonable to deduce that the facilities and infrastructure are insufficient.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This systematic literature review examines the relationship between outdoor play and motor skill development in children aged 2-8 years, synthesizing empirical evidence to understand the mechanisms, contexts, and outcomes of outdoor play interventions on gross and fine motor competencies. Materials and methods: A comprehensive systematic search was conducted across five electronic databases (PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, ERIC, and SPORTDiscus) from January 2010 to December 2024. Studies were included if they: (1) involved children aged 2-8 years, (2) examined outdoor play interventions or exposure, (3) measured motor skill outcomes using validated instruments, and (4) employed experimental, quasi-experimental, or longitudinal observational designs. Two independent reviewers screened 3,847 records, assessed 156 full-text articles for eligibility, and included 43 studies in the final synthesis. Data extraction encompassed study characteristics, participant demographics, outdoor play parameters, motor skill assessments, and outcome measures. Quality appraisal utilized the Downs and Black checklist for intervention studies and the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale for observational studies. Results: The 43 included studies (N = 12,847 children) demonstrated predominantly positive associations between outdoor play and motor skill development. Structured outdoor play interventions (n = 28 studies) resulted in significant improvements in object control skills (Cohen's d = 0.67, 95% CI [0.52, 0.82]) and locomotor skills (Cohen's d = 0.59, 95% CI [0.45, 0.73]). Unstructured free play in natural environments (n = 15 studies) was associated with enhanced motor creativity and adaptive movement patterns. Dose-response analyses indicated optimal benefits with 60-90 minutes of daily outdoor play exposure. Effect sizes were moderated by play environment quality (β = 0.34, p < .001), adult facilitation (β = 0.28, p = .003), and baseline motor competence (β = -0.22, p = .012). Conclusions: This systematic review provides robust evidence that outdoor play significantly enhances motor skill development in early childhood. Structured outdoor interventions yielded larger effect sizes for specific motor competencies, while unstructured nature-based play contributed to motor creativity and exploratory movement behaviors. Policy implications support the integration of daily outdoor play opportunities in early childhood education settings and the development of accessible, well-designed outdoor play spaces. Future research should employ standardized motor assessment protocols and examine longitudinal trajectories of motor development in relation to outdoor play patterns.
