Abstract

The purpose of this study is to test and analyze the influence of democratic leadership style and work discipline towards employee performance Puskesmas Bantaran, Bantaran District, Probolinggo Regency through organizational culture. This research is a quantitative study with approach to excavation research methods. The samples used are numbered 50 patient respondents in June 2022 at uptd puskesmas Bantaran Probolinggo Regency. The analysis used is path analysis (Path Analysis), using SPSS 25 calculations and Sobel Mediation Test.The results showed that democratic leadership style affects organizational culture, work discipline has no effect significant to organizational culture, influential organizational culture significant to employee performance, democratic leadership style is not significant effect on employee performance, work discipline is not significantly affects employee performance.ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan demokrasi dan disiplin kerja  terhadap  kinerja  pegawai Puskesmas Bantaran Kecamatan Bantaran Kabupaten Probolinggo melalui budaya organisasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan metode penelitian ekspalanasi. Sampel yang digunakan berjumlah 50 orang responden pasien pada bulan Juni 2022 di UPTD Puskesmas Bantaran Kabupaten Probolinggo. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis jalur (Path Analysis), dengan menggunakan perhitungan SPSS 25 dan Uji Mediasi Sobel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan demokrasi berpengaruh terhadap budaya organisasi, disiplin kerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap budaya organisasi, budaya organisasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, gaya kepemimpinan demokrasi tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, disiplin kerja tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate and analyze the impact of several factors on employee performance within the Department of Industry and Trade of Mojokerto Regency, East Java. Specifically, the study examines: 1) the effect of compensation on motivation, 2) the influence of gratitude on motivation, 3) the relationship between compensation and performance, 4) the impact of gratitude on performance, 5) the association between motivation and performance, 6) how compensation affects performance through motivation, and 7) how gratitude influences performance through motivation. The research adopts an explanatory research approach. The population consists of 48 employees with ASN status at the Department of Industry and Trade Mojokerto Regency, all of whom were included in the study using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection involved administering questionnaires directly to respondents. Statistical analysis employed path analysis, preceded by tests for validity, reliability, and assumptions including multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and normality. Hypothesis testing utilized a significance level of 5%. The findings indicate that compensation significantly enhances both motivation and performance. Conversely, gratitude does not affect motivation or performance directly. These results underscore the importance of effectively managing compensation strategies to foster employee motivation and enhance organizational performance

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of accountability, managerial competence, and integrity on employee performance effectiveness at the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Mojokerto Regency, Indonesia. The research is motivated by BPKAD's strategic role in regional financial and asset governance, reflected by notable achievements such as receiving unqualified audit opinions (WTP) for ten consecutive years and the highest fiscal incentives in East Java. Despite these accomplishments, challenges remain in asset management and the implementation of information systems, indicating areas for improvement in employee performance. Using a non-experimental, correlational, and explanatory research design, data were collected via Likert-scale questionnaires distributed to all 51 BPKAD employees, employing a total sampling approach. Instrument validity was tested using Pearson's product-moment correlation, and reliability was assessed with Cronbach’s alpha. Classical assumption tests and multiple linear regression analyses were conducted using SPSS 26.0. Results show that accountability, managerial competence, and integrity significantly and simultaneously affect performance effectiveness. Individually, each variable also has a positive and significant effect. Among them, managerial competence has the most dominant influence. These findings highlight the critical role of enhancing managerial capabilities and ethical values to improve public sector performance, offering empirical support for organizational development initiatives within local government institutions.
