Abstract

The prevention of corruption, especially in local government in Cimahi, is highly dependent on government supervision. Three mayors of Cimahi have been implicated in various corruption cases, indicating the need to improve the supervisory system. The study of corruption cases in Cimahi, their origins, and supervision efforts made by government agencies. Based on qualitative and literature study, using data from various relevant literatures to support the analysis. The study shows that corruption in Cimahi is influenced by a systemic culture of corruption in the government and the absence of systemic change due to the irregularities of the case. The Cimahi City Government has taken steps to prevent corruption, including anti-corruption socialization, bureaucratic reform, and increased transparency through the Monitoring Center for Prevention. It is hoped that the Cimahi government can become a transparent government, structuring good governance and free of corruption as well as a city government that is more confident in its citizens.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana perbandingan demokrasi di Indonesia dan Singapura dengan berdasar kepada klasifikasi demokrasi Gould Carol C. Gould. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik studi kepustakaan (library research) yang bersumber dari literatur buku, jurnal ilmiah, peraturan perundang-undangan. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa dengan melihat regulasi dan karakteristik rezim di kedua negara, Indonesia termasuk ke dalam demokrasi pluralisme, sedangkan Singapura termasuk ke dalam demokrasi sosialisme holistik.

Abstract

The Regional Regulation (Perda) of Tasikmalaya City Number 12 of 2009 concerning the Development of Community Life Values Based on Islamic Teachings and Social Norms is a strategic effort to create a harmonious, religious, and Islamic value-based social order. This regulation stems from Tasikmalaya's identity as a "santri city," where the majority of its population adheres to Islam. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method based on library research to analyze the policy implementation through the variables of policy content and policy environment. The findings indicate that while this regulation strengthens religious values, challenges such as social diversity and inclusivity require attention. The role of the government, society, and supporting actors is crucial to ensuring the sustainability of its implementation.
