Abstract

This research explores the experiences of tourists participating in cooking classes at the Bali Farm Cooking School. The data analyzed are tourist comments on TripAdvisor regarding "Bali Farm Cooking School" taken on December 21, 2023. The data is derived from tourist comments in 2023 totaling 30. The research findings indicate that the majority of tourists give a maximum rating, indicating a very satisfying experience. The positive experience involves tangible and intangible aspects. Tourists feel happy learning to cook, getting to know the local market, and gaining insights into Balinese community life. SWOT analysis is also used to identify internal and external factors to create internal and external strategies for the Bali Farm Cooking School.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine tourism development in Badung Regency, Bali, with a focus on the concept of Tourism Village and the application of the principles of postfordism. Referring to the Badung Regency Regional Regulations relating to Tourist Attractions and Tourist Villages, Badung has accommodated a number of diverse tourist attractions, including natural beauty, cultural heritage and adventure destinations. This research methodology adopts a literature study approach, which is a data collection method by utilizing related literature from various sources. Referring to the Tourism Village concept, Badung is identified as having integrated local economic growth, cultural preservation and environmental protection in tourism development. This approach not only generates economic benefits, but also strengthens cultural and environmental aspects, creating an unforgettable tourism experience for visitors. Through the principles of postfordism, Badung embodies a model of social and political regulation that regulates the relationship between tourist consumption, local economic growth, and cultural and environmental preservation. Thus, the development of Badung tourism through the Tourism Village concept reflects a holistic and successful economic strategy in creating sustainability in the tourism sector.

Abstract

Promotion is an important factor in guests' decision to stay. Besides that, price is an aspect that is clearly visible to consumers and is also a factor in influencing consumers' decision to stay. Plataran Ubud Hotel & Spa has carried out several promotions to increase guests' interest in staying, but the number of rooms sold is still decreasing. The decrease in the number of rooms sold was also due to indications of high room prices for consumers. Plataran Ubud Hotel & Spa receives comments and reviews written by guests on the TripAdvisor, Booking.com and Google Review sites regarding high prices. This research aims to determine the influence of promotions and prices on guests' decisions to stay at Plataran Ubud Hotel & Spa. The research method used is quantitative correlational with data collection techniques, namely observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. This research used 40 respondents using the Quota Sampling sampling technique and the sample size was based on the Hair et al. The results of the research show that there is a partial positive and significant influence between promotion on guests' decision to stay, there is a partial positive and significant influence between price on the decision to stay, and there is a simultaneous positive and significant influence between promotion and price on the decision to stay at Plataran Ubud Hotel & Spa.
