Abstract

This research explores the experiences of tourists participating in cooking classes at the Bali Farm Cooking School. The data analyzed are tourist comments on TripAdvisor regarding "Bali Farm Cooking School" taken on December 21, 2023. The data is derived from tourist comments in 2023 totaling 30. The research findings indicate that the majority of tourists give a maximum rating, indicating a very satisfying experience. The positive experience involves tangible and intangible aspects. Tourists feel happy learning to cook, getting to know the local market, and gaining insights into Balinese community life. SWOT analysis is also used to identify internal and external factors to create internal and external strategies for the Bali Farm Cooking School.

Abstract

Promotion is an important factor in guests' decision to stay. Besides that, price is an aspect that is clearly visible to consumers and is also a factor in influencing consumers' decision to stay. Plataran Ubud Hotel & Spa has carried out several promotions to increase guests' interest in staying, but the number of rooms sold is still decreasing. The decrease in the number of rooms sold was also due to indications of high room prices for consumers. Plataran Ubud Hotel & Spa receives comments and reviews written by guests on the TripAdvisor, Booking.com and Google Review sites regarding high prices. This research aims to determine the influence of promotions and prices on guests' decisions to stay at Plataran Ubud Hotel & Spa. The research method used is quantitative correlational with data collection techniques, namely observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. This research used 40 respondents using the Quota Sampling sampling technique and the sample size was based on the Hair et al. The results of the research show that there is a partial positive and significant influence between promotion on guests' decision to stay, there is a partial positive and significant influence between price on the decision to stay, and there is a simultaneous positive and significant influence between promotion and price on the decision to stay at Plataran Ubud Hotel & Spa.

Abstract

In this era of globalization full of competition, Serangan Village needs to continue to innovate and increase its attractiveness to attract more tourists. One promising strategy is to combine language and cuisine, creating a unique and unforgettable culinary tourism experience. The research method used in this research is a qualitative research method with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that community participation through language and culinary arts is able to strengthen the tourist attraction for culinary delights in Serangan Village. The right strategy could be to empower POKDARWIS, especially those who can speak English, in collaborative language and culinary activities in Village.

Abstract

Industri pariwisata merupakan sektor ekonomi yang sangat dinamis dan berperan signifikan dalam pembangunan ekonomi Indonesia. Bali, sebagai destinasi wisata unggulan, menarik jutaan wisatawan setiap tahun. Untuk mempertahankan daya tariknya, inovasi dalam pemasaran digital, khususnya melalui konten video, menjadi sangat penting. Menyikapi hal ini, mahasiswa Diploma Empat Manajemen Perhotelan IPB Internasional bersama Bali Film School mengadakan Workshop Video Content Creator bagi siswa SMK N 3 Denpasar. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan digital siswa dalam pembuatan konten video yang relevan untuk industri pariwisata. Workshop yang dilaksanakan pada 3 Juni 2024 ini melibatkan dua narasumber ahli dalam media digital yang memberikan materi komprehensif, mulai dari dasar-dasar pembuatan video hingga teknik lanjutan. Metodologi pelaksanaan mencakup persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Hasil workshop menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan dan kreativitas peserta dalam membuat konten video yang menarik. Dukungan finansial dari IPB Internasional sebesar 5 juta rupiah sangat berperan dalam kesuksesan acara ini. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah bahwa workshop berhasil memberikan manfaat signifikan dan mendorong kolaborasi antara dunia pendidikan dan industri pariwisata, yang dapat terus dikembangkan di masa depan.
