Abstract

Determining a strategic location for the opening of a new branch is an important decision in the development of the retail business. Choosing the right location can increase competitiveness and business success, while choosing the right one can pose a risk of loss. This article aims to evaluate and determine the best location for a new retail branch using the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method. The WASPAS method was chosen because of its ability to combine two multi-criteria approaches, namely the Weighted Sum Model (WSM) and the Weighted Product Model (WPM), which allows for a more comprehensive assessment of various location determinants, such as demographics, accessibility, operational costs, and market potential. Through a case study conducted on a company, the results of this study show that the WASPAS method can provide accurate and reliable recommendations in determining the best location for a new branch. The resulting recommendations are expected to support better strategic decision-making in the development of retail networks.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of cultivation stimulus from social media on the communication tendencies of Generation Z. This generation grows up in the digital age with intensive exposure to social media content, which affects the way they interact and express themselves. The research method used is a qualitative approach with literature studies and in- depth interviews as data collection techniques. The literature study examined the theory of cultivation and the influence of social media, while in-depth interviews were conducted with members of Generation Z to gain an empirical perspective on their communication patterns. The results of the study show that the cultivation stimulus of social media, especially the content delivered by influencers, has a significant impact on shaping communication preferences. Generation Z is more likely to use visual symbols such as emojis and GIFs in digital communication, which shows an adaptation to the interactive features of social media platforms. In addition, it was found that social media facilitates active participation in social and political discussions, but also causes an echo chamber phenomenon that reinforces similar views. However, a high reliance on social media for social validation poses mental health risks, such as anxiety and depression. The study concludes that while social media provides opportunities for Generation Z to develop more expressive and socially engaged communication, good digital literacy is needed to mitigate any negative impacts that may arise. With a better understanding of the influence of cultivation stimulus, Generation Z can make wise and effective use of social media.

Abstract

Premis utama dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa loyalitas karyawan sangat penting untuk menjaga stabilitas dan efektivitas operasi bisnis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji bagaimana lingkungan kerja dan gaya kepemimpinan PT. Lingkar Sakti Mas Banjarmasin memengaruhi loyalitas karyawan. Seluruh populasi yang terdiri dari 32 karyawan menjadi responden untuk penelitian kuantitatif ini, yang menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel jenuh. Kuesioner skala Likert yang tervalidasi dan reliabel digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Regresi linier berganda digunakan untuk analisis. Dengan nilai t hitung sebesar 6,021 > t tabel 2,042 dan tingkat signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, temuan menunjukkan bahwa loyalitas karyawan (Y) secara signifikan dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan kerja (X1). Dengan nilai t hitung sebesar 2,416 > t tabel 2,042 dan signifikansi 0,022 < 0,05, gaya kepemimpinan (X2) juga menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan secara parsial. Nilai F hitung sebesar 25,123 > F tabel 3,328 dan tingkat signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05 secara simultan menunjukkan bahwa kedua variabel memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap loyalitas karyawan. Kesimpulannya, peningkatan standar tempat kerja dan kepemimpinan yang mumpuni secara langsung meningkatkan loyalitas karyawan di dalam organisasi.
