Abstract

Lazimnya, proses modernisasi dan industrialisasi yang tidak lagi bisa dielakkan di hampir seluruh belahan dunia menyebabkan juga terjadinya gelombang sekularisasi dalam kehidupan keagamaan masyarakat. Proses modernisasi dan industrialisasi membawa serta nilai-nilai rasionalisasi dan pragmatisme yang oleh banyak orang dianggap berhadap-hadapan langsung dengan nilai-nilai agama yang bersifat sakral dan mengagungkan ideal-ideal spiritual. Namun, apa yang terjadi di desa Karangbong Kecamatan Gedangan Kabupaten Sidoarjo justru berbeda. Industrialisasi memang telah merubah wajah desa Karangbong dari masyarakat agraris tradisional menjadi masyarakat industrial, tapi industrialisasi tidak serta merta mengikis nilai-nilai spiritual dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Bahkan, menurut hasil penelitian ini, kehidupan keagamaan masyarakat desa Karangbong justru mengalami peningkatan. Agama, bagi masyarakat desa Karangbong, menjadi identitas dan memberikan makna dalam kehidupan mereka yang justru sangat diperlukan dalam mengarungi kehidupan di era industrial.

Abstract

The research about “The Study of Mantab Tradition for Community Development in Kecamatan Gedangan Kabupaten Sidoarjo” is based on the idea that : 1) Mantab is one of social institution that serve the religious-social function, 2) Among perception of Gedangan’s societies, Mantab tradition need to be developed and it has spectacular members, about 7000 people, 3) Mantab tradition has socio-cultural mechanism growth from local content. Its position very often become strategic tools for community development information. This research is focused on the following matters. 1) Social function of Mantab tradition as religious institution, 2) the perception of the community toward Mantab tradition and, 3) the real contributions of Mantab tradition in the process of community development. Theoretical concepts underlying this research are paradigm of structural-functional theory. In addition, it is aimed at discovering whether there is any relation between social function of institution as written in theory matches the fact found in the real life. The writer applies qualitative research using phenomenological approach. The technique used in this research is in-depth interview and observation. Purposive sampling used to get the whole information needed. Kata Kunci: tradisi Mantab, pengembangan masyarakat.

Abstract

The creation of effective education can guide students to develop their potential optimally. The focus in developing this potential is to create individuals who are faithful and pious, physically and mentally independent, have noble character, are intelligent and talented, and are holistically healthy. However, there are still problems experienced by teachers related to rational decisions that should be taken. This study focuses on Economic Rationality in high school economics teachers. It is generally known that high school economics teachers should better understand the concept of rationality so that it can be applied in everyday life and used as a model for colleagues and students. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory type that analyzes the influence of Welfare, Economic Literacy, and Teacher Commitment on Economic Rationality with Professional Capability as a mediating variable. The population of this study was economics teachers at Senior High Schools (SMA) and Madrasah Aliyah (MA) in Regencies/Cities throughout East Java in 2024. Sampling using multistage random sampling showed a significant influence between Welfare, Economic Literacy, and Teacher Commitment on the Economic Rationality of Senior High School Teachers in East Java through Professional Ability as a mediating variable.

Abstract

Arabic is the most core subject in Islamic boarding schools. Likewise at the Bahrul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Tambakberas Jombang and the an-Nuqayah Islamic Boarding School Madura. This study discusses the Arabic curriculum applied by the Bahrul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Tambakberas Jombang and the an-Nuqayah Islamic Boarding School Madura with a focus on the research objectives of Arabic learning, Arabic language learning activities, and Arabic language learning materials taught in the two Islamic Boarding Schools. This study uses a qualitative approach by using the form of a case study. The sources of data in this study were the leaders of Islamic Boarding Schools, Arabic language teachers and administrators of the Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Islamic Boarding Schools in Jombang and the an-Nuqayah Islamic Boarding Schools, Madura. After discussing and analyzing the data, it can be concluded that the two Islamic boarding schools applied different curricula. The Bahrul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Tambakberas Jombang applies an Arabic curriculum for the Salaf Islamic Boarding School which still prioritizes Arabic as a tool for understanding sources of Islamic studies. Meanwhile, at the an-Nuqayah Islamic Boarding School, the modern Islamic Boarding School's Arabic curriculum combines basic Arabic (as a tool) and practical Arabic as a daily communication tool, which in this case is accommodated by the Daar al-Lughah al-Arabiyah wa al-Fiqh al-Salafi institution. However, the two Islamic Boarding Schools have something in common, namely placing Arabic in their respective Madrasah Diniyah programs.

Abstract

This research is descriptive qualitative in nature which was prepared to provide an in-depth analysis regarding the implementation of the independent curriculum in economic learning in schools using the Kirkpatrick model with the research subjects being SMAN 1 Grati Pasuruan and SMAN 1 Lawang Malang. The results of the research show that the theoretical implication of the results of this research is that the Kirkpatrick model evaluation provides information about how to assess students' abilities as a whole. The practical implication is that the Kirkpatrick model evaluation is an alternative for teachers to get an idea of students' abilities in economics learning. Based on the evaluation results using the Kirkpatrick Model, both SMAN 1 Grati and SMAN 1 Lawang have been implemented well considering that both schools implemented the independent curriculum at different stages. These different stages make the objectives of implementing the independent curriculum that are applied also different, the higher the IKM stage that is implemented, the better the expectations and output achieved. This research has an impact on general learning evaluation for other subjects with the same characteristics. Assessment in each learning process is carried out in various ways to obtain an optimal picture of the student's inherent potential, especially those related to certain subjects. This is done to improve student learning outcomes.
