Abstract

The mechanism for handling public aspirations and reports in the Minahasa Regency Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) still faces inefficiency and low accountability due to the manual process. The conventional First-In-First-Out (FIFO) system is unable to differentiate the urgency of reports, resulting in delayed follow-up of critical reports. This study designs and implements a web based Public Information Portal (PIP) that integrates a priority queue algorithm to automatically sort reports based on their urgency. The development method used is the Waterfall method. Test reults sgow significant performance improvements, marked by a recuation in waiting time for high priority reports by more than 50% and increased accuracy of handling based on urgency levels. This system also strengthens public accountability thorugh a real time status tracking feature. By offering a technical solution not found in previous research—namely an automatic prioritization mechanism specifically for managing aspirations within the DPRD—this study fills a research gap and makes a significant contribution to improving service quality and fulfilling the mandate of the Public Information Disclosure Law. Highlights• Priority queue mechanism reduces waiting time for high-priority reports by over 50%.• Automatic urgency-based sorting improves accuracy and responsiveness in report handling.• Real-time status tracking increases public accountability and transparency. Abstract

General Background: Fire disasters pose serious risks to public safety, material assets, and environmental sustainability, requiring rapid access to accurate spatial information. Specific Background: In Minahasa Regency, fire-prone area mapping and fire-fighting resource records are still managed manually, limiting information dissemination and slowing emergency response. Knowledge Gap: Existing practices lack an integrated web-based GIS that combines spatial visualization with shortest route analysis for operational fire management. Aims: This study aims to design and develop an interactive web-based Geographic Information System to map fire-prone areas, fire station locations, and water sources while providing shortest route recommendations using the Dijkstra Algorithm. Results: The system was developed using the Waterfall model with PHP, MySQL, and Leaflet.js, and black box testing confirmed that spatial data management, interactive visualization, administrative boundary filtering, and shortest route calculations operated as intended. Novelty: The research introduces the integration of fire-prone area mapping, fire-fighting resource management, and Dijkstra-based route analysis supported by OSRM within a single web GIS platform for Minahasa Regency. Implications: The developed system supports faster spatial information access and decision-making in fire management by providing route and water source recommendations through an interactive GIS interface. Highlights• Manual fire mapping processes were replaced by a centralized web-based GIS platform• Shortest route calculations were generated through integrated Dijkstra and OSRM services• Spatial visualization supported administrative filtering and emergency decision support KeywordsGeographic Information System; Fire Prone Areas; Dijkstra Algorithm; Spatial Mapping; Shortest Route

Abstract

The soil moisture monitoring system for cayenne pepper plants is an important part in ensuring optimal plant growth. The limited land that is often found makes the use of greenhouses one solution to deal with this problem. In this research, the system uses a soil moisture sensor which can measure soil moisture and a DHT11 sensor as an air temperature measurement with IoT-based monitoring. The integration of the NodeMCU ESP8266 with the Telegram platform is going well, marked by the success of the system in sending test result notifications automatically every time there is a change in soil moisture status and also local display via the 16×2 LCD making it easier for users if they want to check directly in the field. The test results show that the monitoring system built has met the basic needs for monitoring soil moisture in cayenne pepper plants in a small-scale greenhouse and can be an effective solution in supporting IoT-based agricultural activities. Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of industrial work practice (prakerin) in terms of: 1) context, which includes the objectives of the prakerin program, cooperation between DU/DI and schools based on the MoU, and the expectation that the implementation of prakerin is in accordance with the implementative curriculum; 2) input, which includes the readiness of participants, schools, and DU/DI in implementing prakerin, the absorption of provision materials from schools and DU/DI, and the realization of the implementation of the implementative curriculum; 3) process, which includes student monitoring and guidance, student involvement/participation, student cooperation and problem-solving skills; 4) product, which includes the improvement and mastery of competencies and certification of students after the implementation of prakerin. This study is an evaluation study with a quantitative descriptive approach. The evaluation model used is the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model evaluation developed by Stufflebeam. Respondents in this study consisted of a vice principal for public relations/head of the industrial work experience working group, 18 supervising teachers, 18 industrial supervisors from Minahasa Regency, Tomohon City, Manado City and 110 students participating in the industrial work experience in 2025. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, interviews and documentation and analyzed descriptively. The results of the study showed that: (1) the context of implementing industrial work experience at SMK Negeri 1 Tombariri was appropriate, with an achievement percentage of 72.67% for student respondents, 48.06% for supervising teachers, and 46.17% for industrial work experience supervisors, however, in planning, compiling, and synchronizing competencies, it is necessary to involve industrial work experience elements, and the development of industrial work experience cooperation through an MoU has not been realized properly; (2) The input for the implementation of the internship has been appropriate, with an achievement percentage of 64.71% for student respondents, 47.89% for supervising teachers, and 45.39% for DU/DI mentors, but still requires participant readiness in terms of competency where the obstacles faced by students are more related to competency mastery and insufficient work readiness, therefore maximizing the time and material for provision is very necessary; (3) The process of implementing the internship has been appropriate, with an achievement percentage of 84.3% for student respondents, 74.39% for supervising teachers, and 72.22% for DU/DI mentors, but the less than optimal role and responsibility of the mentors causes communication regarding the development of student competencies to be less monitored; (4) The product of the implementation of the internship has been appropriate with an achievement percentage of 47.17% for student respondents, 31.17% for supervising teachers, and 28.72% for DU/DI mentors, this is shown by the changes that have occurred in students in terms of attitude, responsibility and increased competency.
