Abstract

Harry Potter And The deathly Hallows tells the story of the struggle of the hogwarrts magic school students against an extremely powerful evil wizard, and this evil wizard keeps horcux (part of the soul stored in objects) that must be found and destroyed which causes a great magic war. In this study, the author wanted to examine one of the characters named Severus Snape who represented the value of heroism. The method used by researchers is the Semiotics method of Charles Sanders Peirce. Researchers analyzed using the main elements of semiotics to examine scenes in the fim that concluded that the character Severus Snape underwent character development that represented the values of heroism. Film Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows menceritakan tentang perjuangan murid sekolah sihir Hogwarrts melawan penyihir jahat yang sangat kuat, dan penyihir jahat ini menyimpan Horcux yang harus ditemukan dan dihancurkan yang menyebabkan perang sihir yang hebat. Dalam penelitian ini penulis ingin meneliti salah satu karakter bernama Severus Snape yang merepresentasikan nilai-nilai kepahlawanan. Metode yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah metode Semiotika Charles Sanders Peirce. Peneliti menganalisis menggunakan elemen utama semiotika untuk menelaah adegan di dalam fim yang memberikan kesimpulan bahwa karakter Severus Snape mengalami pengembangan karakter sehingga merepresentasikan nilai-nilai kepahlawanan.
