Abstract

This pre-research was conducted with the aim of building a research hypothesis using a descriptive method. To find out the variables that affect Employee Engagement and Job Performance, a review of previous research was conducted. The purpose of writing this article is to build a hypothesis of the influence between variables to be used in further research. The results: 1) Organizational Trust has an effect on Employee Engagement; 2) Organizational Trust has an effect on Job Performance; 3) Job Satisfaction has an effect on Employee Engagement; 4) Job Satisfaction has an effect on Job Performance; 5) Employee Engagement has an effect on Job Performance.

Abstract

This pre-research was conducted with the aim of building a research hypothesis using a descriptive method. The preparation of this article for the authors is intended to build hypotheses in seeking influence among several variables that can be used as objects of further research. The results of writing this article show that: 1) Interpersonal Communication has an influence on Employee Engagement; 2) Interpersonal Communication influences Job Performance; 3) Organizational Trust affects Employee Engagement; 4) Organizational Trust has an influence on Job Performance; 5) Employee Engagement has an influence on Job Performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh organizational trust dan job satisfaction terhadap employee engagement serta dampaknya pada job performance guru di Sekolah Alam Insan Mulia Surabaya. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya keterikatan dan kinerja guru sebagai faktor utama peningkatan kualitas pendidikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Structural Equation Modeling – Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Sampel penelitian berjumlah 50 guru dari total populasi 115 guru, yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa job satisfaction berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap employee engagement dan job performance. Sementara itu, organizational trust berpengaruh positif namun kecil terhadap employee engagement maupun job performance. Variabel employee engagement terbukti berperan sebagai mediator, namun pengaruhnya tidak besar. Secara keseluruhan, job satisfaction menjadi faktor dominan dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di Sekolah Alam Insan Mulia Surabaya.
