Abstract

This research analyzes Bali Governor Regulation number 2 of 2024, which regulates the procedures for paying fees for foreign tourists, using a Critical Theory approach. The focus of the research is to identify the social, economic and environmental impacts of this regulation on the main tourism destination, Bali. The analysis covers key aspects of the Governor Regulations, evaluating potential inequalities and social conflicts that may arise. In addition, the research discusses the impact of levy payment procedures on the participation and contribution of foreign tourists, as well as policy implications for local communities and the environment. With a critical approach, this research aims to provide in-depth insights and recommendations for more inclusive and sustainable policies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali dan mengkaji secara mendalam strategi yang diterapkan oleh Paiketan Krama Istri (PAKIS) Provinsi Bali dalam meningkatkan pemberdayaan perempuan adat di Bali. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah ketimpangan gender yang dipengaruhi oleh budaya patriarki yang mendominasi kehidupan sosial di Bali. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana PAKIS Bali merancang dan melaksanakan program-program yang bertujuan meningkatkan peran dan posisi perempuan dalam masyarakat adat Bali. Dengan menggunakan Teori Feminisme Liberal, hasi penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PAKIS Bali, melalui berbagai inisiatif seperti pendidikan, pelatihan, dan advokasi, telah berhasil memperkuat partisipasi perempuan dalam bidang-bidang yang sebelumnya didominasi oleh laki-laki. PAKIS Bali juga telah mampu mengatasi sebagian tantangan yang terkait dengan norma-norma tradisional yang membatasi peran perempuan. Kesimpulannya, strategi PAKIS Bali tidak hanya berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan keterlibatan perempuan dalam aspek-aspek sosial, budaya, dan ekonomi, tetapi juga membentuk landasan untuk transformasi yang lebih luas menuju kesetaraan gender di Bali.

Abstract

Nepotism in Indonesia: the political footprint of Ratu Atut dynasty in Banten. Dynastic politics is an attempt to divide the office to relatives themselves, common among the elite who hold power, given to relatives in order to maintain power with a specific purpose. In a democratic country, of course dynastic politics is the enemy that must be staged. Dynastic politics emerged and existed due to the growth of neopatrimonialism in Indonesia. Julius Cesar Imperial Trajono, he said that the dynastic politics that occurred in the regions in Indonesia was due to the weak institutional system of the party. Ratu Atut's case in Banten. Starting from his father, Tubagus Chasan Sochib who is famous for his influence in Banten, he delivered Djoko Munandar and his son Ratu Atut as The Governors-Vice Governors of Banten in 2001 which in the end Ratu Atut succeeded in becoming the second Governor of Banten Province and became the first female governor in Indonesia. Since the establishment of Banten, Ratu Atut has been a deputy governor once, and twice as governor of Banten. Atut abused her authority, she made changes to the budget of APBD and APBDP related to the procurement of medical devices in Banten.
