Abstract

Kata Kunci: Perilaku Caring Perawat, Koping, Kecemasan ABSTRACTThe intensive care unit is a special area in the hospital where patients who are critically ill or injured receive specialized nursing services that require caring nurses. Nurse caring behaviour becomes a guarantee of the quality of nursing service with the family of patients who experience psychological problems that are anxiety due to the care of family members in the ICU room. The research aims to know the behavior of caring nurses with family care and anxiety in patients treated in the ICU room of RSUP H. Adam Malik in Medan. The design of this research was analytical correlation. The population of this study was 137 people with a sample number of 49 people. Sampling techniques with accidental sampling techniques. The results showed the family said the majority of caring behaviors were less than 51.0%, with a maladaptive majority in the 69.4%, and severe mayorias anxiety of 36.7% with a test result of spreman rank of corcelation value of the coefficient koping R = 0595 and anxiety r = 0.696 as well as significant value P = 0.000 < 0.05. The conclusion of this study indicates that there is a significant relationship between nursing behavior with the family and anxiety in patients treated in ICU room of RSUP H. Abstract

Kata Kunci: nyeri, terapi sujok Effect of Su Jok Therapy on Pain:  A Systematic Literature Review ABSTRACT   Objective: This study aims to investigate the effect of Su Jok therapy on pain.  Methods: This research employs a Systematic Literature Review approach. Articles were retrieved from databases such as Google Scholar, Emerald Insight, EBSCOhost, and ScienceDirect Elsevier, covering publications from 2014 to 2024. The selection process followed the PRISMA diagram. The inclusion criteria comprised research articles published between 2014 and 2024 that discuss the effects of Su Jok therapy on pain, available in either English or Indonesian. The exclusion criteria encompassed articles that were not relevant to the application of Su Jok therapy, lacked sufficient information, focused on other essential oils, or involved irrelevant samples. Results: A total of 10 articles were identified, demonstrating that Su Jok therapy can alleviate pain through various methods. However, the studies used different pain measurement instruments, and not all studies reported whether pharmacological therapy was concurrently administered. Discussion: The findings indicate that Su Jok therapy effectively reduces different types of pain among respondents with varying conditions, such as labor pain, musculoskeletal pain, dysmenorrhea, and dyspnea symptoms in COVID-19 patients.  Conclusion: Su Jok therapy has the potential to alleviate pain, and its appropriate frequency of application can serve as an effective alternative for pain management.  Recommendation: Future research is advised to expand the study population, adopt consistent measurement tools, and further explore the frequency, duration, and mechanisms of Su Jok therapy.  Keywords: pain, Su Jok therapy

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is characterized by elevated blood glucose levels above normal, with random blood glucose levels ≥ 200 mg/dl and fasting blood glucose levels ≥ 126 mg/dl. This study employed a quantitative research method with a quasi-experimental design and an equivalent control group design approach. The study utilized power analysis with consecutive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques involved distributing questionnaires to 74 diabetes mellitus patients in the Onolalu Health Center Working Area, South Nias District. Data analysis techniques used independent t-test statistical analysis and presented in the form of a T-test table. The results of the study indicate that there is an influence of self-care behavior on blood sugar control levels in type II diabetes mellitus patients in the Onolalu Health Center Working Area, South Nias Regency, with a Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.024 < 0.05. Therefore, in the independent sample t-test, it can be concluded that the null hypothesis (HO) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant (statistically significant) difference between the average blood sugar levels of type II diabetes mellitus patients in the intervention group and the control group.
