Abstract

This study was conducted to investigate the effect of Pre-questioning on Reading Comprehension Achievement of the Fourth Semester Students at English Program Study STKIP Taman Siswa Bima. The aimed of this study were to investigate the effects of pre-questioning students’ on the reading comprehension achievement of the Fourth Semester Students at English Program Study STKIP Taman Siswa Bima 2017/2018. The forms of questions were in multiple choice and essay, multiple choice used for reading comprehension tests and essay used for Pre-questioning tests. The method used in this study was experimental design. The data were processed and analyzed according to these steps: taking the data, checking, scoring, tabulating using SPSS program and taking the conclusion based on the statistic result. The result of this study shows that “the Pre-questioning has a significant effect on the students’ reading comprehension achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate and propose a comprehensive, integrated risk management model to address the challenges of digital innovation in Islamic banking. This research is motivated by the emergence of hybrid risk profiles and a significant governance gap resulting from siloed risk management practices among the IT Division, the Risk Management Division, and the Sharia Supervisory Board (DPS). This study employs a descriptive qualitative method using a library research approach. Data was collected through a documentary analysis of existing literature, encompassing scientific journals, industry standards (COSO ERM, COBIT), Sharia standards (AAOIFI, DSN-MUI Fatwas), and banking regulations (POJK). Data analysis was conducted via critical synthesis, focusing on gap analysis within existing frameworks to construct a new conceptual model. The finding of this study is the "Integrated Sharia Digital Risk Management" (MR-DST) model. This model is built on three main pillars: (1) Integrated Governance, which integrates the role of the DPS into the technology development lifecycle and the IT risk committee; (2) Holistic Risk Assessment Process, which combines Technology Risk Assessment (TRA) and Sharia Compliance Risk Assessment (SCRA) from the product ideation phase; and (3) Cross-Functional Human Resource Capacity, which emphasizes digital literacy for the DPS and Sharia literacy for the IT team. This model offers a proactive framework through a synthesis between the IT risk framework (COBIT) and Sharia governance frameworks (AAOIFI/DSN-MUI).

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of the Scrabble teaching method on students’ vocabulary interpretation ability in English instruction for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students at SMAN 1 Kota Bima. Using a quantitative pre-experimental approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design, the study involved class XI IPA. Data were collected through vocabulary interpretation tests administered before and after the implementation of the Scrabble teaching method. The findings reveal that the application of the Scrabble teaching method significantly improves students’ ability to interpret the meaning of English vocabulary by promoting active participation, collaborative learning, and contextual engagement. The effectiveness of the method was supported by appropriate instructional procedures and teaching techniques. However, the findings also indicate that the success of the implementation is highly dependent on teachers’ pedagogical competence in managing classroom activities and integrating game-based instruction effectively. The study concludes that, with proper instructional planning and teacher expertise, the Scrabble teaching method has strong potential to enhance vocabulary interpretation ability and enrich students’ overall learning experience in EFL classrooms.
