Abstract

Abstrak - Budidaya ikan hias air tawar memiliki potensi ekonomi yang signifikan, baik dalam skala rumah tangga maupun industri, terutama di wilayah Kabupaten Lebak. Namun, banyak masyarakat yang belum memahami secara mendalam tata cara yang tepat dalam membudidayakan dan merawat ikan hias air tawar. Informasi yang tersedia di internet sering kali tidak memiliki sumber yang jelas dan akurasi yang memadai. Di sisi lain, Dinas Perikanan Kabupaten Lebak belum memanfaatkan teknologi digital sebagai media edukasi dalam menyebarkan informasi terkait budidaya ikan hias, sehingga diperlukan solusi berbasis teknologi untuk menjawab kebutuhan ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sebuah aplikasi multimedia yang berfungsi sebagai sarana edukasi masyarakat tentang budidaya dan perawatan ikan hias air tawar. Aplikasi ini dirancang dengan memanfaatkan metode Rapid Application Development (RAD), sebuah metode pengembangan perangkat lunak yang menekankan kecepatan dan efisiensi melalui tahapan perencanaan kebutuhan, desain sistem, pengembangan, dan implementasi. Data yang digunakan dalam aplikasi ini bersumber dari Dinas Perikanan Kabupaten Lebak dan hasil wawancara dengan para peternak ikan hias di Rangkasbitung, sehingga informasi yang disajikan memiliki tingkat akurasi yang tinggi. Aplikasi ini menyajikan informasi terkait tahapan budidaya ikan hias, mulai dari persiapan wadah, pemijahan, pemberian pakan, hingga perawatan ikan hias agar tetap sehat. Fitur multimedia yang meliputi teks, gambar, dan ilustrasi interaktif digunakan untuk mempermudah pemahaman pengguna. Dalam uji coba yang dilakukan bersama para peternak ikan hias, aplikasi ini dinilai cukup membantu dalam memberikan informasi yang jelas dan mudah dipahami terkait proses budidaya dan perawatan ikan hias air tawar. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi multimedia berbasis RAD ini mampu menjadi solusi praktis dalam menyebarkan pengetahuan budidaya ikan hias air tawar kepada masyarakat. Aplikasi ini tidak hanya memudahkan pengguna dalam memahami proses budidaya secara visual, tetapi juga memberikan akses terhadap informasi yang valid dan bersumber langsung dari instansi terkait.Kata Kunci: Aplikasi Multimedia, Budidaya Ikan Hias, Rapid Application Development (RAD), Dinas Perikanan Kabupaten Lebak, Teknologi Edukasi. Abstract - Freshwater ornamental fish farming holds significant economic potential, both at the household and industrial levels, especially in the Lebak Regency. However, many people still lack a deep understanding of the proper methods for breeding and caring for ornamental fish. The information available on the internet is often unclear in its sources and lacks sufficient accuracy. On the other hand, the Fisheries Office of Lebak Regency has yet to utilize digital technology as an educational medium to disseminate information about ornamental fish farming. Therefore, a technology-based solution is needed to address this need. This research aims to design a multimedia-based application that serves as an educational tool for the public on freshwater ornamental fish farming and care. The application is developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, a software development process that emphasizes speed and efficiency through stages of requirement planning, system design, development, and implementation. The data used in this application is sourced from the Fisheries Office of Lebak Regency and interviews with ornamental fish breeders in Rangkasbitung, ensuring high accuracy of the information provided. The application presents information related to the stages of ornamental fish farming, from preparing the tanks, spawning, feeding, to maintaining the fish’s health. Multimedia features, including text, images, and interactive illustrations, are used to facilitate user understanding. In trials conducted with ornamental fish breeders, the application was found to be quite helpful in providing clear and easy-to-understand information regarding the processes of ornamental fish farming and care. The results of this research show that this multimedia-based RAD application provides a practical solution for disseminating knowledge about freshwater ornamental fish farming to the public. The application not only makes it easier for users to visually understand the farming process but also provides access to valid information sourced directly from the relevant institutions.Keywords: Multimedia Application, Ornamental Fish Farming, Rapid Application Development (RAD), Fisheries Office of Lebak Regency, Educational Technology.

Abstract

This research aims to design a web-based online thesis guidance application for the Computer Science program to facilitate the processing of student thesis data and enhance the thesis guidance process for better completion of final thesis tasks. In the thesis guidance process of the Computer Science program, several obstacles hinder students' progress in completing their theses. These obstacles include the need for students to bring their thesis materials in physical form during conventional guidance processes. This can lead to additional issues, such as the cost of printing thesis materials for corrections by supervising professors. This research utilizes the PHP programming language with the assistance of the CodeIgniter framework and MySQL as the database. The System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfall method was employed for the software development phase of this research. This method was chosen because it is a simple and linear classic model, where the output of each stage becomes the input for the next stage. Data collection techniques in this research included observation, interviews, and literature studies. This research results in a web-based online thesis guidance application that provides convenience for both students and supervising professors in conducting thesis guidance. This application also assists the Computer Science program and its students taking thesis courses. The application is more efficient when conducted online, minimizing wasted paper printouts and saving time during the guidance period, ensuring that the thesis report can be completed promptly.
