Abstract

Communication of disseminating stakeholder messages through dramatization aims to improve the economy and people's welfare. This article aims to examine how symbolic convergence in the tourism sector can create social change in the Selo Tirto Giri Tourism Object, Gresik Regency. This study uses the theory of symbolic convergence from Bormann and the theory of structuration from Gidden. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method with a single case study. The informants of this research were village stakeholders who were determined purposively. Data validity uses source triangulation. Data analysis uses fantasy theme analysis where fantasy messages become the unit of analysis Lindlof and Taylor. The results of the study show that the dramatization of messages is created through fantasy themes, namely awareness of developing regions, getting along in harmony, and prosperous and independent communities. Symbolic convergence is related to the structuration that occurs symbolically in Sekapuk Village. The existence of repeated messages creates a dimension of public awareness that shapes the structure and creates social change. The process of dramatizing messages and structuring forms the tourist attraction of Selo Tirto Giri so that Sekapuk Village, which is a poor village, becomes a Millionaire Village.

This is used so that the community can be empowered for their own village. KIM is formed independently by and for the community itself. KIM runs according to the corridor, namely to build social communication by continuing to strive for improvement and development within the internal institution. Then this can be seen from the official website of Biting Village, which began to be active in disseminating Biting Village activities to provide the latest news. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method through literature study, namely data collection from existing data sources such as data related to KIM. The methodology or approach used in this paper uses a library research method or approach, while data collection is carried out by reviewing and/or exploring several journals, books, and documents (both printed and electronic) as well as other sources of data and or information that are considered relevant to the study. The conclusion in this study is that KIM in Biting Village has an important role in becoming village public relations, namely a liaison between the government and the community, which makes it easier for communication between the two. So Biting Village KIM has carried out the role of village public relations well, because it has succeeded in empowering the community by participating in village development, one of which is the success in creating an official website owned by Biting Village KIM. Abstract

The proliferation of misinformation, disinformation, and Malinformation on social media poses a serious threat to public trust and national security. Social media algorithms, as illustrated in The Social Dilemma, inadvertently amplify false and sensational content, fostering polarization and societal vulnerability. This study aims to analyze the strategy of Indonesia’s National Cyber and Crypto Agency (Badan Siber dan Sandi Negara/BSSN) in addressing information disorder through a participatory digital literacy approach. Its main contribution lies in providing both academic insights and policy recommendations for an ethical, adaptive, and evidence-based model of social cybersecurity governance. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method, combining documentary analysis of The Social Dilemma, a review of official BSSN documents, and an in-depth interview with a BSSN official. The data were processed using thematic coding and triangulated across multiple sources to ensure credibility and validity. The findings reveal that BSSN implements the EMILIE framework, Encouragement, Measurement, Involvement, Literacy, and Empowerment, which strengthens digital literacy, promotes stakeholder engagement, and develops ethical monitoring systems while safeguarding civil rights. This framework has proven effective in raising public awareness and resilience against disinformation, although challenges remain, such as the rapid spread of harmful content, reliance on platform cooperation, and limited institutional resources. In conclusion, participatory and literacy-based approaches to social cybersecurity are essential in countering digital information disorder. BSSN’s strategy demonstrates that fostering multi-stakeholder collaboration and community empowerment can mitigate cyber threats while ensuring ethical and legal protection of citizens.

Abstract

This qualitative research examines and explains the phenomenon of delivering messages in the TikTok application. There are consequences for changing the meaning of the message after a message is delivered through. The study used Harold Lasswell's concept of communication, which was linked to James Coleman's rational choice theory. This study aims to explain the essence of the message to the TikTok community. Researchers use Harold Lasswell's communication component to explain this phenomenon because TikTok is a mass communication medium. The results found that distorted messages occurred due to information sharing on the same thing. The TikTok community took over the same message and transmitted it as a new video. It was also found that the purpose of communication on TikTok is not only to convey a message but also to convey or receive the same feelings from the messenger. That is why TikTok has become an addiction for its users.
