Abstract

This research aims to analyze and describe student creativity through the use of Chromebooks in Biology learning at SMAS IT Darul Istiqamah. As an educational institution proactive in technological innovation and holding Google Reference School status, SMAS IT Darul Istiqamah has extensively integrated Chromebooks into its teaching and learning process. This descriptive qualitative research employed interviews with 15 students from Grades X, XI, and XII, as well as the Biology Teacher and the Head of School. The findings indicate that Chromebooks significantly facilitate student creativity in Biology learning through various digital manifestations. Students are able to produce innovative works such as 3D cell models, collaborative digital comics, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based applications like Teachable Machine, reflecting their unique visualization and application of Biology concepts. The devices also support collaborative creative processes and are effective in enhancing student focus by reducing distractions. Furthermore, Chromebooks facilitate the exploration of creative ideas through differentiated learning and the utilization of AI, while simultaneously increasing student motivation and engagement to become producers of innovative works. These findings are reinforced by the perspectives of the teacher and head of school, who observe the positive impact of Chromebooks on creativity and a conducive learning environment.

Abstract

This type of research is evaluative research, namely a scientific procedure that is systematically conducted to measure the results of the program in learning according to the planned goals, by analyzing the implementation of the program that is conducted objectively. Evaluation is an activity conducted to measure the learning process of students. Exam questions used as a measuring tool must be able to provide accurate information on the abilities of students. This study aims to determine the quality of Biology test items made by biology teachers at SMAN 8 Maros. This study uses the SPSS 29 application. The results of this study indicate that the analysis of multiple-choice questions with 25 items shows a valid number of 4 questions (16%). The reliability of multiple-choice questions has a low interpretation of 0.33. Difficulty level, 11 questions (44%) are in the easy category, 13 questions (52%) are in the medium category, 1 question (4%) is in the difficult category. And 3 items (12%) had good discriminating power and 6 items (24%) had sufficient discriminating power. The number of students and the number of items also affect the analysis of the items, the more the number of students and the number of items the easier it is to analyze the level of validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and discriminating power.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative study with a quasy experimental method that aims to determine whether or not there is an effect of implementation the Biosong method on improving the learning outcomes of biology students in class XI MIPA at SMAN 6 Maros. The experimental class eses conventional learning method ang the control class uses conventional learning methods. The instrument used is in the form of an essay text consisting of 5 validated questions. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis and hypothesis analysis in the experimental class that applied the Biosong learning method with an average of 78,00 and a standard deviation of 7,114 while the control class that applied conventional methods obtained an average value of mean 66,39 and standard deviation 15,139. Based on the result of the Mann Whitney assess the learning outcomes obtained asymp. sig (2-tailed) 0,004<0,05. It can be concluded that the implementation of the usual method has an influence on improving the learning outcomes of biology students of class XI MIPA at  SMAN 6 Maros on cell material.
