Abstract

Concrete is a construction material that has been commonly used for buildings. Concrete is formed from mixed aggregate (fine aggregate and coarse aggregate) plus other materials, namely cement, water, and other added materials with a certain ratio value. This study uses an added material in the form of coconut shell charcoal in a concrete mixture to determine whether it can improve the quality of the compressive strength of concrete. The uses of added material is taken from the percentage by weight of cement used. The use of coconut shell charcoal as an added ingredient is 2.5%, 5%, 7.5% and 10%. The results of the compressive strength of 28 days of concrete using coconut shell charcoal with a variation of the addition of 2.5% is 18.30 MPa, 5% is 17.86 MPa, 7.5% is 19.03 MPa, and 10% is 18.50 MPa. Based on the result above, the highest compressive strenght value is equal to 7.5%, so it can be concluded that the addition of coconut shell charcoal to the concrete mix can increase the compressive strength.

Abstract

Concrete is a composite material (mixture) of several materials whose basic binder consists of acombination of fine aggregate, coarse aggregate, water and different additives in a particular mixture. Sandis a filler material that is used with a binder and water to form a dense and hard mixture. The beach sand inthe Jawai District, Sambas Regency has the potential because of its availability in large quantities, namely42.53 km long, quite a lot of sandy beaches and rocks in the hills of Ramayadi Village.This study aims to compare and determine the value of the compressive strength of concrete producedfrom concrete using beach sand as a substitute for fine aggregate that is treated (washed and not washed) andby using coarse aggregate in the form of crushed stone from the South Jawai District, Sambas Regency. Theresearch was conducted on cube specimens measuring 15 cm long, 15 cm wide and 15 cm high.The tests carried out were testing the compressive strength of concrete at the age of 7 days and 14days. The test results at the age of 7 days for unwashed beach sand and washed beach sand respectivelyshowed an average compressive strength of 114.0514 kg/cm2 and 153.9535 kg/cm2. While the test results atthe age of 14 days for unwashed beach sand and washed beach sand respectively showed an averagecompressive strength of 142.6046 kg/cm2 and 209.8392 kg/cm2.

Abstract

Sekolah Polisi Negara (SPN) adalah Lembaga bagi anggota badan pemerintahan yang bertugas memelihara keamanan dan ketertiban umum dalam hal polisi negara Republik Indonesia. Pembangunan sekolah polisi negara ini tentunya menarik perhatian karena setiap tahun akan diadakan rekrutmen serta dilakukan pendidikan pengembangan baik secara umum maupun secara spesifik. Supaya rekrutmen dapat dilakukan dengan maksimal maka dilakukan pemindahan gedung Sekolah Polisi Negara dari Pontianak yang memiliki luas bangunan kurang dari satu hektar ke Singkawang yang memiliki lahan seluas 40 hektar. Namun dalam pengerjaannya terdapat bernagai macam kendala sehingga membuat lambatnya penyelesaian proyek tersebut. Suatu hal yang penting dalam suatu konstruksi ialah biaya, mutu, waktu, sumber daya manusia, dan manajemen komunikasi proyek. Untuk melakukan percepatan penyelesaian suatu proyek diperlukan perencanaan yang baik, salah satu alternatif yang digunakan yaitu dengan menambah jumlah pekerja, menambah jam kerja, atau menambah mobilisasi alat yang akan berdampak pada biaya total proyek. PERT adalah suatu metode yang bertujuan untuk sebanyak mungkin mengurangi adanya penundaan, maupun gangguan produksi, serta mengkoordinasikan berbagai bagian suatu pekerjaan secara menyeluruh dan mempercepat selesainya proyek. Oleh karena itu diperlukan suatu metode untuk meningkatkan suatu pengelolaan manajemen yaitu dengan menggunakan metode PERT yang diaplikasikan kedalam barchart. Kata Kunci: Perencanaan, Sekolah Polisi Negara, Singkawang, Pembangunan.

Abstract

Concrete is the most important material in building construction, including bridges, piers and buildings.Concrete is the main raw material in construction nowadays, where wooden construction is starting to beabandonedThis research aims to evaluate the effect of using basalt fiber on the mechanical properties of geopolymerconcrete using KOH as an alkali activator. Geopolymer concrete is an environmentally friendly alternativeconstruction material, which replaces the use of portland cement with a geopolymeric binder. The addition ofbasalt fiber is expected to improve the mechanical properties of geopolymer concrete, namely its compressivestrength.Stages of this research method involve making geopolymer concrete samples with varying compositions,including varying the concentration of KOH as the alkali activator and the percentage of basalt fiber added.These samples will be tested to evaluate their mechanical properties, namely compressive strength, and otherphysical properties. It is hoped that this research will result in a better understanding of the influence of theuse of basalt fiber on the mechanical properties of geopolymer concrete. It is hoped that the results of thisresearch can become a basis for the construction industry to improve the performance of geopolymer concreteby using basalt fiber as reinforcement. Apart from that, this research will also provide new insights into the useof KOH as an alkali activator in geopolymer concrete. Currently, TKT in research has a value of 1, namelyformulating a geopolymer concrete mix design concept and the final target of the results of this research is todemonstrate scientific feasibility through analytical and laboratory studies, proof of concept and geopolymerconcrete products that meet construction material standards.Keywords: geopolymer concrete, basalt fiber, compressive strength, KOH, alkali activator.
