Abstract

Utilizing mixed reality and adaptive learning to enhance the understanding of algebraic concepts, using GeoGebra as a tool. The research design involved an experimental group engaged in technology-integrated learning and a control group following conventional learning. Data were collected through pre-post tests and observations of student interactions with GeoGebra. The analysis results indicate that the experimental group experienced a significant improvement in the understanding of algebraic concepts compared to the control group. Students in the experimental group also showed higher engagement and positive responses to the use of mixed reality and adaptive learning. This research supports the idea that GeoGebra, when integrated with mixed reality and adaptive learning approaches, can create a more dynamic and effective learning experience in enhancing students' understanding of algebraic concepts. The implications of this research involve the potential development of innovative mathematics learning strategies to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The development of information technology is currently growing rapidly and rapidly, which is supported by one of the means, namely the existence of a computer. Of course, a computer that has been equipped with a certain application is used to help facilitate human work in managing the data of an organization or company so that results are accurate and as needed. The results of observations that have been made indicate that there are sales and purchasing activities that still use a manual system, one of which is at a clothing store. Starting from processing goods data, difficulty checking stock, purchasing transactions, sales transactions, and storing other data related to all types of activities, so that it can cause losses for shop owners, errors in recording and inaccurate reports made. Judging from the large number of transactions made at clothing stores, a faster and more accurate information system is needed. Therefore, the authors created a computerized program design using the Microsoft Visual Basic.net programming language and MySQL database, so that information and activities that occur can be carried out quickly and accurately. The method used in designing this program uses the Rapid Application Development (RAD) model. This RAD model is an adaptation of the high-speed version of the waterfall model for the development of each software component. The results achieved from the discussion of this theme are in the form of ready-to-use sales and purchasing program applications. In this case, the use of application programs is the best solution for solving existing problems, and with the use of application programs an effective and efficient activity can be achieved in supporting activities, especially for dealing with sales and purchasing problems.

Abstract

This study focuses on the development and implementation of an innovative learning model for geometric transformations by integrating technology through the use of the Desmos application as an interactive instructional tool. Geometric transformation is a fundamental concept in mathematics but is often regarded as abstract and challenging for students to grasp. This research aims to improve students’ conceptual understanding and motivation by providing a dynamic and visual learning environment using Desmos, a user-friendly digital graphing platform. The study employs a development research methodology consisting of stages such as design, implementation, and evaluation of the learning media. Data collected through observations and student feedback demonstrate that incorporating Desmos in the learning process significantly enhances student engagement, simplifies the visualization of complex geometric concepts, and creates a more enjoyable and effective learning experience. The findings suggest that technology-based innovations like this can serve as effective alternatives to traditional teaching methods in mathematics education, particularly for teaching geometric transformation material.
