This research uses a qualitative approach to analyze the meaning of connotation, denotation and political myth in the animation "Pak Tani & Mawar Kecil". Data was collected from the animation video, as well as additional information from literature and internet studies. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive techniques and Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis method. The results showed that the connotation meaning in the animated film "Pak Tani and Mawar Kecil" refers to the interpretation of symbols and narratives in an animated film that creates political meaning. Denotatively, the images depict physical scenes such as roses, farmers, buffaloes, and others. Then, connotatively, the symbols are associated with certain political parties and political dynamics in Indonesia. Furthermore, the ideology that can be concluded based on the myths in the animation is that each scene creates a political metaphor, such as a rose symbolizing the PSI Party, a buffalo stepping on a rose as a representation of the PDIP Party, and an eagle grabbing a rose as a symbol of the Gerindra Party. There is complexity in the interpretation of these symbols, creating a political narrative related to struggle, competition, and dedication in the Indonesian political arena. The conclusion of this research is that the animation "Pak Tani & Mawar Kecil" contains political messages conveyed through the use of symbols enriched with political connotations.  AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan makna konotasi, denotasi, dan mitos politik lewat animasi “Pak Tani & Mawar Kecil”. Abstract

This study aims to describe the types of presupposition and how the presupposition occurs in the TB Traditional Riddle. This study uses an ethnographic approach. The data of this study is divided into oral and written data. Oral data were obtained through observation and in-depth interviews with informants. The interview involved 3 informants who met the criteria described by (Spradley, 1979). The questions asked included descriptive questions, structural questions and contrast questions. The written data for this study is  sourced from a book entitled Huling-Hulingan and Torkan-Torkanan by (Sibarani, 1995). The data analysis model used also refers to the method proposed by Spradley, making domain analysis, making taxonomic analysis, and making component analysis. The results show that the traditional TB riddle includes the types of existential, lexical, structural, factive, non-factive and counterfactual presuppositions. Presupposition is something abstract that bridges between the speaker's speech and the reaction/answer of the listener. The entire process is within the scope of the context that overshadows every speech situation. The effect of this context can cause single presuppositions, double presumptions, and vague presumptions in the listener/respondent. Context also influences the listener in making an answer from one or more presuppositions that arise in his or her mind.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the utilization of North Sumatra local culture as a learning resource in learning biology based on 21st century competencies and skills. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with a case study approach, involving observation, interviews with teachers and traditional leaders, and document analysis. The results revealed that local cultural elements such as ethnobotany, traditional agricultural systems, and environmental management wisdom can be effectively integrated into biology materials to improve students' concept understanding, learning motivation, and critical thinking skills. The implementation of local culture-based learning also encourages students' active involvement as well as the preservation of social and ecological values. However, the main challenge lies in the limited competence of teachers and the availability of adequate learning resources. This study recommends the development of local culture-based teaching modules and teacher training to support the sustainability of contextualized and sustainable biology learning. The findings provide an important contribution to the development of learning strategies that integrate local wisdom and 21st century competencies

Abstract

This study focuses on the development and implementation of an innovative learning model for geometric transformations by integrating technology through the use of the Desmos application as an interactive instructional tool. Geometric transformation is a fundamental concept in mathematics but is often regarded as abstract and challenging for students to grasp. This research aims to improve students’ conceptual understanding and motivation by providing a dynamic and visual learning environment using Desmos, a user-friendly digital graphing platform. The study employs a development research methodology consisting of stages such as design, implementation, and evaluation of the learning media. Data collected through observations and student feedback demonstrate that incorporating Desmos in the learning process significantly enhances student engagement, simplifies the visualization of complex geometric concepts, and creates a more enjoyable and effective learning experience. The findings suggest that technology-based innovations like this can serve as effective alternatives to traditional teaching methods in mathematics education, particularly for teaching geometric transformation material.
