Abstract

This study aims to examine the three major rebellions faced by Ali ibn Abi Talib during his leadership: the Rebellion of Talhah and his allies, the Challenge of the Khawarij, and the Rebellion of Mu'awiyah. These events had a profound impact on early Islamic politics and theology. This research utilizes a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, focusing on a literature review of primary and secondary sources. Data were gathered through in-depth analysis of various academic journals discussing the dynamics of Ali's leadership. The findings reveal that these three rebellions not only weakened Ali’s political power but also exacerbated divisions within the Muslim community, especially concerning theological and leadership issues. These conflicts triggered the emergence of various Islamic sects, such as the Khawarij and Shia, which continue to influence Islamic political development in subsequent periods. The conclusion of this study is that Ali ibn Abi Talib’s leadership period marked a significant transitional era in Islamic history, during which major shifts in politics and theology had long-lasting effects on the Muslim community.

Abstract

This article examines phenomenology as a philosophical approach to exploring Karl Popper's concept of falsification and Jacques Derrida's notion of deconstruction. Karl Popper argues that falsification serves as the primary criterion for distinguishing science from non-science. According to this perspective, a theory can only be considered scientific if it allows for tests that could potentially falsify it. Conversely, Jacques Derrida, through his concept of deconstruction, offers a critical analysis of the structure of language and meaning, emphasizing the inherent ambiguity and uncertainty within texts and discourses. This study employs a qualitative method with a conceptual analysis approach to investigate the relationship and comparison between these two perspectives. The findings indicate that falsification is more applicable to the domain of empirical science, focusing on theoretical testing and validation, whereas deconstruction is better suited for the fields of literary criticism and philosophy, with its emphasis on deconstructing and dismantling foundational assumptions. Although emerging from distinct areas of thought, these two approaches can complement each other within the framework of phenomenology. Falsification provides an empirical foundation for the search for truth, while deconstruction opens opportunities to uncover hidden biases, frameworks, and hierarchies in thought. This article underscores the importance of integrating scientific and philosophical critique to gain a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of phenomena.

Abstract

Bullying in schools is a serious issue affecting students' psychological and academic growth. This study aims to explore the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) as a medium for preventing bullying behavior. The research employs a qualitative approach through library research, analyzing various literatures on the implementation of Islamic values in shaping students' character. The findings reveal that PAI significantly contributes to bullying prevention by teaching Islamic values such as compassion, justice, and respect for others. PAI teachers play a crucial role in internalizing these values through storytelling and discussion methods. Furthermore, collaboration among teachers, students, and parents is a vital element in establishing a safe and harmonious educational environment. This study concludes that PAI is not only effective in reducing bullying incidents but also fosters students' awareness of the importance of moral values in everyday life.

Abstract

This article discusses the importance of integrating religious knowledge and science to enhance the quality of Islamic education, particularly in the modern era. This approach not only broadens students' understanding by combining religious teachings with scientific knowledge but also contributes to character development, ethics, and the relevance of Islamic education itself. Graduates of Islamic education programs that integrate both fields possess a competitive edge in the professional world, as they are not only knowledgeable in religious studies and science but also equipped with strong moral values to apply their knowledge responsibly. However, the implementation of this integration faces several challenges, such as resistance from some segments of society, limitations in the curriculum, and a lack of teacher training. The article also emphasizes the importance of the role of educators and the design of an integrated curriculum to achieve Islamic education that aligns with modern developments. The positive impact of this integration is also felt by society, producing individuals who can use scientific knowledge to improve social and environmental conditions while adhering to religious principles. Therefore, the integration of religious knowledge and science not only enriches students' understanding but also elevates the overall quality of Islamic education for both worldly and spiritual life.
