Abstract

he properties of commercial products are measured by standardized laboratory test methods to check their Conformance to specification Two or more measurements of some property of a specific sample by any given test method usually will not givee precisely the same answer. Therefore, Laboratory test correlation of the specific sample is necessary to be done on the expected precision, accuracy of the test results and the uniformity of interpretative, to step on the credibility of the testing Laboratory. This is a paper on the conduct and the results of the fourth ASCOPE (ASEAN Council on Petroleum) Cor mellation Programme for fuels were carried out on two kinds of samples.

Abstract

Empat jenis produk bahan bakar minyak yang dipergunakan masyarakat luas di Indonesia adalah kaerosine, solar, bensin premium, danbensin super. Perbedaan harga yang menonjol memberi dorongan untuk memetik keuntungan dengan membaurkan bahan bakar yang murah ke dalam bahan bakar yang mahal. Kerosin, bahan bakar yang harganya sangat murah, dapat dipalsukan atau dibaurkan ke dalam minyak solar atau bensin premium maupun super sekitar 20% colume.

Abstract

Jenis minyak bumi (crude oil) Indonesia sebagian besar bertendensi parafinik, di mana dari jenis minyak bumi akan berpengaruh terhadap kualitas produknya. Peranan efektivitas dari aditif penurun titik tuang (Pour Point Depressant) ini di Indonesia sangat besar artinya terhadap minyak bumi ataupun beberapa produknya, karena sifat produknya juga bertendensi parafinik untuk produk tengahan dan berat (middle and heavy products). Misalnya, minyak bakar akan mempunyai kualitas pembakaran yang tinggi tetapi selalu terbentur pada masalah titik tuang (pour point) yang terlalu tinggi.
