<![CDATA[The use of interactive learning media is one approach to supporting a more effective learning process, particularly in learning to write procedural texts. This study aimed to examine the effect of interactive Canva media on the learning outcomes of seventh-grade students at SMP Pahlawan Nasional in writing procedural texts. This study employed an experimental method using a two-group pretest–posttest control group design. The sample consisted of two classes selected through simple random sampling, with Class VII A serving as the experimental group and Class VII B as the control group, involving a total of 60 students. The research instrument was an essay test that had met the validity and reliability requirements. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test and the paired samples t-test. The results showed that the mean score of the experimental group increased from 45.00 on the pretest to 60.33 on the posttest, representing an improvement of 15.33 points. Meanwhile, the control group’s mean score increased from 47.00 to 54.13, with an improvement of 6.73 points. The results of the paired samples t-test indicated that both groups showed statistically significant improvement (p < 0.001); however, the improvement in the experimental group was greater than that of the control group. These findings indicate that interactive Canva media was effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in writing procedural texts. This study contributes to the use of technology-based learning media as an alternative approach to supporting Indonesian language instruction, particularly in enhancing students’ procedural text writing skills.]]>
