Abstract

One of the nutritional issues that teenage females are more likely to experience is anemia, which has consumption habits as one of its contributing components. In 2023, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported that 30.7% of teenagers had anemia. According to the Basic Health Research from 2018, 32% of Indonesian teenagers have anemia. In 2023, 36.4% of teenagers in Central Sulawesi had anemia. According to secondary statistics from Puskesmas Tipo in 2024, 28.4% of teenagers had anemia. Thus, the purpose of this study is to examine the connection between teenage girls' consuming habits and their risk of anemia. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the relationship between consumption patterns and the risk of anemia in adolescent girls. This type of research is quantitative with an observational quantitative approach using a cross-sectional design. The population in this study is 110 female students. Using the Chi-Square test with a p-value of 0.05 which means that there is a relationship between consumption patterns and the risk of anemia. The risk of anemia is correlated with eating patterns. In order to reduce the danger of anemia, it is intended that schools would work with nearby health departments or clinics to offer counseling and advice on healthy eating habits.
