Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze trust as a social media and social capital provided in influencing purchasing decisions. This study aimed to determine the mediating role of trust in the relationship of social media and social capital to purchasing decisions on accommodation in Nusa Penida. This study will discuss the factors that can influence purchasing decisions on accommodation in Nusa Penida. Data were collected using a questionnaire with accommodation guests in Nusa Penida as respondents and 150 respondents. Hypothesis testing using structural equation model (SEM) analysis with the help of the AMOS application. This study concludes that social media (X1) has no effect on trust (Y1), social capital (X2) has no effect on trust (Y1), trust (Y1) has an effect on purchasing decisions (Y2), trust (Y1) has a role mediation on the relationship of social media (X1) to purchasing decisions (Y2) and trust (Y1) has a mediating role on the relationship of social capital (X2) to purchasing decisions (Y2). Findings, purchasing decisions can increase if social media is getting better and guests have a high sense of trust so that in the end purchasing decisions will also increase if social capital is getting better and guests have a high sense of trust so that in the end purchasing decisions will increase. Abstract

Industri MICE merupakan sektor pariwisata yang sedang mengalami perkembangan pesat. Industri MICE membawa peluang yang besar melalui tamu yang dibawanya dengan waktu tinggal dan daya beli yang lebih besar sehingga menimbulkan adanya persaingan pasar. Untuk mendapatkan perhatian wisatawan MICE dilakukan dengan memastikan kepuasan konsumen terpenuhi, tetapi pada hotel Pullman Bali Legian Beach masih ditemukan permasalahan terkait kepuasan konsumen dalam kegiatan MICE. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh kualitas pelayanan dan fasilitas terhadap kepuasan konsumen MICE di Pullman Bali Legian Beach. Sampel penelitian ini adalah Person Incharge (PIC) yang mewakili kelompok atau perusahaan yang menyelenggarakan kegiatan MICE di Pullman Bali Legian Beach periode Januari – Desember 2023 sejumlah 88 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer berupa kuesioner. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan menggunakan random sampling. Metode analisis menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan Variabel Kualitas Pelayanan (X1) secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kepuasan Konsumen dengan nilai thitung>ttabel = 5,666>1,662 dan nilai signifikansi <α = 0,001<0,05. Variabel Fasilitas (X2) secara parsial berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Kepuasan Konsumen dengan nilai thitung>ttabel = 3,232>1,662 dan nilai signifikansi <α = 0,001<0,05. Variabel Kualitas Pelayanan dan Fasilitas secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap Kepuasan Konsumen dengan nilai Fhitung>Ftabel = 85,987>3,10 dan nilai signifikansi <α = 0,001<0,05. Dapat disimpulkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukan Kualitas Pelayanan dan Fasilitas berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap Kepuasan Konsumen MICE di Pullman Bali Legian Beach.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see how beauty privilege affects the hiring process in Bali's hospitality industry as the industry plays an important role in the regional economy and the selection of high-quality human resources is crucial to the quality of service provided. The research method is qualitative, using phenomenological study, descriptive analysis and interviews. The research involved interviews and literature study with hospitality professionals, including managers and human resource management staff. The results showed that while beauty privilege may be considered when selecting candidates for employment, especially for guest-facing jobs, factors such as attitude, ability and knowledge (ASK) remain the most important. Practitioners agree that if a candidate has the necessary abilities, physical appearance is not important. Also, while appearance may be beneficial, the main focus remains on abilities that support performance and fit the company culture. The emphasis on professional demeanor and technical ability demonstrates this. To reduce biases related to physical appearance in the hospitality industry, this research suggests that recruitment standards should be more fair and inclusive.
