Abstract

Every day, humans are involved in communication using language. During the communication process, everyone in language is always related to factors that affect the smoothness of communication. Communication can never be separated from the name of speech acts, and to state something is called locutionary speech acts. The purpose of this study is to investigate the various locutionary speech acts contained in the narrative excerpts of historical novels contained in Indonesian language textbooks intended for Class XII Curriculum 2013. The research method used is a descriptive approach with qualitative analysis. The data used are narrative excerpts of historical novels from Indonesian language textbooks intended for grade XII students. Among the identified locutionary speech acts, statement speech acts are the most frequently used, with command speech acts and question speech acts also present. Through this research, a deeper understanding of the use of locutionary speech acts in narrative excerpts of historical novels contained in Indonesian language textbooks for class XII of the 2013 curriculum is obtained. This study are expected to serve as a guideline for developing Indonesian teaching materials that are more effective and relevant.

Abstract

Indonesian language learning in secondary schools still faces challenges, including low student interest and the limited use of varied learning media. Although technological advancements have encouraged the integration of various digital learning media, the feasibility of these media based on students’ experiences and evaluations has not been widely examined. Therefore, analyzing the feasibility of digital learning media is important to provide teachers with evidence-based considerations in selecting media that align with students’ learning needs. This study aims to determine the feasibility of digital-based learning media based on students’ evaluations in tenth-grade Indonesian language instruction. The study employed a quantitative approach supported by qualitative data, with data collected through non-participant observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The participants consisted of tenth-grade students and five Indonesian language teachers from five different schools utilizing different types of digital learning media, namely animated videos, PowerPoint, Smart TV-based mind mapping, Genially, and digital flipbooks. The results showed that Smart TV-based mind mapping obtained the highest score of 82.5%, categorized as highly feasible. Meanwhile, animated videos achieved 80.3%, Genially 78.7%, digital flipbooks 75.4%, and PowerPoint 72.7%, all categorized as feasible. Interview findings revealed that students were more interested and actively engaged when learning activities incorporated visual, audio, and interactive elements. The challenges encountered in implementing digital learning media included limited internet connectivity, malfunctioning supporting devices, and the time required to develop more interactive digital learning materials. ABSTRAK Pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di sekolah menengah masih menghadapi tantangan berupa rendahnya minat belajar siswa dan penggunaan media pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi. Perkembangan teknologi mendorong pemanfaatan berbagai media pembelajaran digital, namun belum semua media yang digunakan telah diketahui tingkat kelayakannya berdasarkan pengalaman dan penilaian siswa. Oleh karena itu, analisis kelayakan media pembelajaran digital penting dilakukan sebagai dasar bagi guru dalam memilih media yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan belajar siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran berbasis digital berdasarkan penilaian siswa pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia kelas X. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang didukung oleh data kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi nonpartisipasi, angket, dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas siswa kelas X dan lima guru bahasa Indonesia dari lima sekolah yang menggunakan media pembelajaran digital yang berbeda, yaitu video animasi, PowerPoint, mind mapping berbasis Smart TV, Genially, dan flipbook digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media mind mapping berbasis Smart TV memperoleh persentase tertinggi sebesar 82,5% dengan kategori sangat layak. Sementara itu, video animasi memperoleh persentase sebesar 80,3%, Genially 78,7%, flipbook digital 75,4%, dan PowerPoint 72,7% dengan kategori layak. Hasil wawancara guru menunjukkan bahwa siswa lebih tertarik dan aktif ketika pembelajaran menggunakan media yang memadukan unsur visual, audio, dan interaktif. Kendala yang dihadapi dalam penggunaan media digital meliputi keterbatasan jaringan internet, kerusakan perangkat pendukung, serta waktu yang diperlukan untuk mengembangkan media yang lebih interaktif.
