Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) operating in the processed food sector have great potential in supporting the local economy, but still face challenges in improving competitiveness and business performance, especially related to innovation, market response, and mastery of business strategies. This phenomenon indicates the need for more adaptive and responsive managerial strategies, particularly through entrepreneurial and market orientation approaches. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory design, data were collected through a census technique using questionnaires from 51 MSME entrepreneurs and analyzed using SEM-PLS with the help of the SmartPLS application. The research results show that entrepreneurial orientation has a positive and significant effect on business performance. Additionally, market orientation also has a direct influence on business performance while partially mediating the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and business performance. These findings recommend the importance of integrating entrepreneurial spirit and market understanding as a strategy to enhance the performance and sustainability of SMEs amidst increasingly competitive competition.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are facing increasingly complex business competition, requiring employees to continuously innovate and generate creative ideas to maintain competitiveness amid limited resources. However, in practice, creativity does not always flourish optimally without the support of the right work environment. The role of leaders becomes crucial because the relatively simple organizational structure makes interactions between leaders and employees more intense. This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership style on employee creativity, with employee empowerment serving as the mediating variable. This study employs an explanatory quantitative approach, with data collected via a survey. The results show that transformational leadership style does not have a significant direct effect on employee creativity. Conversely, employee empowerment has a positive and significant effect on employee creativity. Furthermore, transformational leadership style was found to have a positive effect on employee creativity through employee empowerment. These findings indicate that employee empowerment acts as a full mediator in the relationship between transformational leadership style and employee creativity. This study confirms that transformational leadership does not always have a direct impact on creativity but requires an empowerment mechanism that makes employees feel trusted, have autonomy, are involved in their work, and feel confident in expressing their ideas. Therefore, organizations need to translate transformational leadership into tangible empowerment practices so that employee creativity can develop sustainably.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the quality of copywriting on the Papillon's Sisters website using the Heuristic Evaluation method which focuses on the AIDCA model (Attention, Interest, Desire, Conviction, Action). The evaluation is conducted through direct observation of the main pages of the site, using an AIDCA-based checklist to measure the effectiveness of copywriting in attracting attention, maintaining interest, arousing desire, building conviction, and encouraging user action. The data collected was analysed qualitatively by giving a severity rating to each problem found, ranging from Good Practice to Major Issue. The results showed that copywriting on the website has some strengths in terms of consistency of writing and attractive visuals, but there are deficiencies in the emotional aspects of language, lack of detailed product descriptions, and ineffective calls-to-action. From the evaluation, 5 major issues, 4 normal issues, 2 minor issues, and 1 good practice were found. This research provides recommendations for improvement, such as the use of more emotional language and improved visual layout to increase user engagement and conversion on the Papillon's Sisters website.
