Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPA dengan memanfaatkan media audiovisual. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) yang dilakukan secara kolaboratif dengan guru kelas. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan model Kemmis & McTaggart dalam 2 siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan & observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian meliputi peserta didik kelas VII SMPN 3 Alla, pada semester II tahun ajaran 2022/2023 yang berjumlah 29 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket motivasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi dan hasil belajar peserta didik meningkat setelah diberi tindakan penggunaan media audiovisual. Motivasi belajar peserta didik mengalami peningkatan, yaitu dari pra tindakan diketahui sebanyak 3 peserta didik atau 10% yang meningkat menjadi 11 peserta didik atau 38% pada siklus 1. Pada siklus II, dengan perbaikan tindakan berupa kegiatan pembelajaran dengan cara peserta didik membuat poster setelah menyaksikan video pembelajaran. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh terjadi peningkatan jumlah peserta didik yang memiliki motivasi belajar minimal pada kategori tinggi yaitu sebanyak 24 peserta didik atau 84%. Pemanfaatan media audiovisual pada siklus II persentase keberhasilannya sudah mencapai >75% sehingga proses pembelajaran dapat dikatakan berhasil. Begitupun dengan hasil belajar. Sedangkan untuk hasil belajar juga mengalami peningkatan dimana sebelum diberikan Tindakan persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar peserta didik pada tes awal 0%, siklus I meningkat menjadi 52%, dan mengalami peningkatan pada siklus II yaitu 83%. Persentase ketuntasan hasil belajar pada fase2 telah mencapai 80% sehingga penelitian diakatan telah berhasil dan dihentikan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media audiovisual dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar IPA peserta didik.

Abstract

The achievement of learning outcomes in programming courses remains a challenge in higher education due to variations in students’ logical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and practical competencies. Conventional evaluation methods are generally retrospective and do not provide early identification of students at risk of not achieving course learning outcomes. Therefore, predictive modeling based on educational data can support data-driven academic decision-making. This study aims to develop a predictive model of learning outcomes in a programming course using the Random Forest algorithm combined with feature selection to improve model performance and interpretability. This research employed a computational experimental method with a quantitative approach. The dataset consisted of 180 student academic records, including assignment scores, quizzes, practicum, project, attendance, midterm exam, and final exam scores. The experiment compared a baseline Random Forest model using all features with a model applying feature selection based on feature importance. Data were divided into 80% training and 20% testing sets and evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The results showed that the baseline model achieved 83.33% accuracy, while the model with feature selection improved accuracy to 88.89% and increased recall performance. Final exam and practicum scores were identified as the most influential predictors. The findings indicate that integrating Random Forest and feature selection enhances prediction accuracy and provides meaningful insights for early intervention strategies in programming education.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has catalyzed transformative shifts across the educational landscape, particularly within English as a Foreign Language (EFL) instruction. This study systematically examines the integration and efficacy of AI-based applications in developing the English writing skills of Vocational High School students. Employing a qualitative library research design guided by the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) framework, this study synthesizes empirical evidence, theoretical frameworks, and academic publications spanning from 2015 to 2025. The findings indicate that AI-powered tools—ranging from automated grammar checkers and text generators to adaptive feedback platforms—offer substantial scaffolding during the writing process. These applications significantly improve students' grammatical accuracy, vocabulary acquisition, and syntactic variety, while simultaneously bolstering learning autonomy and motivation. However, the analysis also highlights critical challenges, including potential technology over-reliance, digital divide disparities, and the necessity of aligning generic AI capabilities with the specialized English for Specific Purposes (ESP) demands of vocational curricula. Ultimately, this study underscores that while AI serves as a powerful pedagogical aid, its successful implementation depends on strategic teacher mediation to ensure it enhances, rather than replaces, critical cognitive processing.
