Abstract

Clown fish (Amphiprion melanopus) is one of the ornamental fish that is in great demand because of its shape, color, uniqueness and active movements. Salinity is an important indicator that can influence the growth and survival of clownfish during the rearing period. This research aims to determine the effect of environmental engineering through salinity domestication on the growth and survival of clownfish. The method used in this research was a completely randomized design (CRD) method with 4 treatments repeated 3 times. The treatments used were 4 different salinities. Treatment A = 30 ppt (control), Treatment B = 25 ppt, Treatment C = 20 ppt, Treatment D = 15 ppt. The results of calculating the average growth in weight and length of clownfish obtained the best results in treatment A, while the average growth in length and weight was the lowest in treatment D. The survival rate during the study showed that in treatment A it was 83%, treatment B and C by 75% and treatment D by 67%. Based on the results of this research, it shows that environmental engineering through salinity domestication has a real influence on the growth in length and weight of clownfish, while survival rate does not have a real influence. This shows that clownfish can still adapt and can survive up to a salinity of 20 ppt with a survival rate of 75%.

Abstract

Olele Marine Park is a marine park and marine tourism area located in Sulawesi. Olele Marine Park has unique beautiful underwater views in Gorontalo Bay (Tomini Bay). This area has potential natural resources that can be used for tourism and capture fisheries activities. However, the utilization of these two activities has not been regulated and managed optimally. The existence of these two potential activity sectors is a comparative advantage for Bone Bolango Regency to increase the economic value of Bone Bolango Regency. So there is a need for a tourism-fisheries development strategy through a SWOT analysis, namely to determine a development strategy for the Olele area conservation area. Based on the results of the analysis, the development strategy that can be carried out is a strategy that focuses on exploiting existing opportunities (opportunities) by using or optimizing strengths owned (strength)

Abstract

The sea is a source of wealth and media in strengthening the unity of the Indonesian state. The large potential of marine resources, especially fisheries resources, makes a significant contribution to state income. Utilization of fisheries resources cannot be separated from various problems, especially regarding the exploitation process which does not pay attention to negative impacts on the environment. Excessive exploitation can also have a negative impact on marine waters as a whole, allowing conflicts to arise and even coming into conflict with international maritime law. To minimize the negative impacts of exploitation, conservation action is the right step and is in line with the concept of sustainable development goals (SDGs). From this article, it can be seen that the concepts of exploitation and conservation should be able to work in balance with the understanding and implementation of the concept of sustainable development. The process of exploiting fishery resources must also pay attention to its impacts, so that it does not cause harm to water conditions and without ignoring carrying capacity conditions existing environment and ecosystem
