Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that cause waste motion and provide a proposed improvement and improvement design to minimize the factors that cause waste motion in the production process of UD Putera Sroedji Jember. UD Putera Sroedji is a medium-scale company in the field of rice production in the Jember area. The problems found at UD Putera Sroedji are the production flow that is not suitable in general and the distance between departments is quite far. These two things are one of the causes of the company's waste motion. The data was obtained by making observations to observe the flow of the production process as well as measuring distance and time. Data analysis used ARC, ARD and Kaizen methods. The results show that the efficiency level given from the two production process lines, namely the proposed layout will be estimated to be able to reduce the production distance of line 1 along 31.25 meters or more efficiently by 30.65% with time savings of 2.828.75 seconds. 2 along 45.4 m or more efficient by 38.07% with a time saving of 3,980.15 seconds.

Abstract

The 2006 hot mudflow disaster in Sidoarjo, Indonesia, triggered significant social, political, economic, and administrative challenges for both the local government and the affected communities. Among the impacts, several villages and hamlets no longer met the criteria for territorial and population standards, necessitating an urgent resolution to prevent further socio-economic complications and ensure the optimization of government services. This situation has implications for both local governance and population administration. This research adopts a qualitative approach, utilizing secondary data analysis to evaluate the policy response to the villages and hamlets impacted by the mud disaster in Sidoarjo Regency. The findings reveal that the local government has implemented mitigation processes for the affected areas in alignment with the prevailing regulations. However, various policy outcomes were identified, including administrative, governmental, economic, social, cultural, and environmental impacts. Notably, the top-down approach to village and district amalgamation presents anomalies that should prompt the Central Government to reassess its policy-making processes, ensuring that future decisions are more inclusive of community involvement. Additionally, the Sidoarjo Regency Government is urged to monitor and facilitate the long-term sustainability of the policy’s effects, ensuring that administrative and social cohesion is achieved in the merged areas. This research contributes to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) #11, which seeks to foster inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable cities and communities.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a systematic review of the relationship between work self-efficacy and employee psychological well-being. Although many previous studies have been conducted, there is still a limitation in comprehensive studies on this topic. Using the guidelines of Tranfield et al. (2003), this study identified and analyzed relevant articles from the Scopus database, focusing on the context of psychological well-being. The search results showed that out of 261 articles identified, 63 articles were not relevant and 18 articles were selected for further analysis. The findings indicate that self-efficacy plays an important role in improving employee psychological well-being, as well as identifying research gaps and future research directions. This study is expected to provide better insight into work self-efficacy and its implications for organizations.

Abstract

This study is a systematic and comprehensive literature review discussing the concept of negative gossip and its role in providing recommendations for future research. The study also explores the opportunities available for future scholars to develop and expand the existing literature in this field. The research concludes that negative gossip involves the dissemination of harmful or disadvantageous information about others, which can impact relationships, emotional well-being, and their reputation. Although the concept is still in its early stages with various definitions, some studies have analyzed the variables affecting negative gossip at both individual and organizational levels. This review examines how mechanisms and contexts support the outcomes of negative gossip and emphasizes the need for further research in empirical studies, methods, and theoretical foundations required for advancing knowledge in this area.
