Abstract

Concept Design of Child Friendly Garden in Taman Janggan Denpasar City. Taman Janggan is one of the Child Friendly City programs which developed by government with an area of ??3,385 m2 located in the Renon Denpasar. This park has a land area of ??1,723 m2 which is not organized yet and enable for further development. This research aims to produce a child friendly garden concept design that can support recreational activities. The method used in this research is a survey method with data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and literature study. The research carried out by the stages consisted inventory, analysis, synthesis, concept development, and concept design. The research results are obtained an site plan, section, and perspective illustrations. The “agricurricular” concept is an illustration of child-friendly garden concept with an agriculture theme that paying attention to user needs and comfort through the softscape and hardscape arrangement of the garden.

Abstract

Sritanjung Park is one of the city parks designed with the concept of a park as a green open space. The location of Sritanjung Park is in a very strategic location, namely in the middle of the city of Banyuwangi. This study aims to identify the typical culture of Banyuwangi that has the potential and can be used as a source of inspiration to characterize Sritanjung Park which describes the city of Banyuwangi. This research was conducted using an exploratory survey method. Data collection techniques through observation saw the condition of Sritanjung Park, interviews with community leaders, and literature studies from various sources of books, journals, and research reports related to Banyuwangi culture. The data collected were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of the study explain that currently Sritanjung Park already has a character, namely gesah which means talking to each other, because the people of Banyuwangi are egalitarian (open). The story of the name Sritanjung should be the basis for planning Sritanjung Park, which is comfortable, safe and gives pride. Alternative recommendations for icons that emerged from this study were decorative lamps, batik motif chairs and barong kemiren motif chairs.

Abstract

Identification of Soft and Hard Elements in Mahapraja Tourism Object, Banjar Puraja, Peninjoan Village, Tembuku District, Bangli Regency. Mahapraja is a tourist attraction located in Banjar Puraja, Peninjoan Village, Tembuku District, Bangli Regency. Tourism object that makes the park as the main function. The garden is designed to give the impression of being one with the surrounding countryside. Mahapraja prioritizes the natural green of the countryside, so it is more to maximize the potential of the existing nature or not change the nature much. Not only for beauty, but whether it is in accordance with the functions and activities in the area or not. So it is necessary to do this research related to the identification of soft elements and hard elements as supporting facilities for space functions and activities. The purpose of this research is to identify the suitability of soft and hard elements as supporting facilities for spatial functions and activities as well as the conditions of each of these elements. The method used is the survey method with observation techniques, interviews, and literature study. The stages are the data inventory, data analysis, and synthesis stages. Analysis and synthesis were carried out in a qualitative descriptive manner. The results of the study show that in each area there are still several facilities that do not yet support the function and activities of the space, both soft and hard elements. The condition of each element is still in good condition and suitable for use and there are those that still need improvement.
