Abstract

The learning model is a design pattern that aims to ensure that learning objectives are achieved effectively and efficiently so that it impacts student learning outcomes, which are expected to get excellent grades and gain something meaningful from the learning experience of elementary school students. The research aims to improve learning outcomes in Pancasila and Citizenship Education subjects in the aspects of spiritual attitudes, social attitudes, knowledge, and skills of students through the application of the picture-and-picture learning model on the subject matter of obligations and rights and responsibilities as citizens. The research subjects were 28 class III-B students at SDN 200220 Padangsidimpuan. This research uses the Kurt Lewin model of classroom action research methods. Data collection uses tests and observations. Data were analyzed descriptively using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The research results prove that students experienced an increase in their learning outcomes. Starting from cycle I, meeting I, only 12 students completed it, cycle I meeting II increased to 17 students who completed it, cycle II meeting I increased to 20 students completing it, and cycle II meeting II increased again to 25 students completed with an average score of 89.2 or 89.28%.

Abstract

Obstacles to the development of basic literacy in early childhood remain a concern, especially because educators struggle to improve children's literacy skills optimally. This condition indicates the need to implement innovative learning strategies that provide active, meaningful learning experiences for children. This study aims to determine the effect of the Genta Program (Generasi Cinta Alam) based on Project-Based Learning on the development of basic literacy in early childhood. This study uses a quantitative, quasi-experimental research design with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects were children in group A aged 4–5 years, totaling 10 students. The data collection method used a non-test method, namely observation, with an observation sheet, for the development of basic literacy. Data analysis was carried out using inferential statistics to test the research hypothesis. The study found an increase in the development of basic literacy after the implementation of the Genta Program, based on Project-Based Learning, and a significant influence on children's literacy skills. Thus, it can be concluded that the Genta Program, based on Project-Based Learning, affects the development of basic literacy in early childhood. The implications of this study indicate that project-based learning can serve as an alternative learning innovation to support children's literacy development.

Abstract

Mathematics is an essential subject in elementary education, with integers playing a key role as the foundation for more complex mathematical concepts. However, many students struggle to understand integers, particularly negative numbers and their operations. This study aims to analyze how prospective elementary school teachers represent the concept of integers and develop effective teaching strategies. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, involving 12 prospective teachers divided into three groups based on their understanding of integers. The primary instrument used was the modified Content Representation (CoRe) to evaluate how these prospective teachers represent and teach integers. The results indicate that most prospective teachers have a good grasp of basic integer concepts and frequently use number lines as a visual aid. However, some teachers still face difficulties in explaining negative numbers and their operations. The use of technology, such as interactive applications and educational videos, was recognized as an effective strategy for improving students' understanding. This study concludes that developing pedagogical skills in prospective teachers, particularly in teaching integers, is crucial to enhancing the quality of mathematics instruction at the elementary level.

Abstract

Pancasila Education in elementary schools continues to face significant challenges, particularly the low level of student engagement caused by the limited use of innovative and interactive learning media. Conventional instructional approaches often fail to stimulate active participation and deep conceptual understanding among students. This study aimed to analyze, develop, and evaluate interactive multimedia based on the Pancasila Student Profile, as well as to examine its validity, quality, and effectiveness in improving students’ understanding and engagement. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) design using the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The study involved 13 fourth-grade elementary students. Data were collected using expert validation sheets, closed-ended questionnaires, and learning achievement tests. The instruments were validated by content, instructional design, and media experts. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques, along with inferential statistical analysis through a dependent t-test. The findings indicated that the multimedia achieved very high validity scores from experts and significantly improved students’ learning outcomes, as demonstrated by the t-test results showing a statistically significant increase. These results suggest that interactive multimedia based on the Pancasila Student Profile effectively enhances students’ conceptual understanding and learning engagement. The study implies that integrating interactive digital media can support.

Abstract

Low reading interest and autonomous learning among elementary students are challenges in learning the Indonesian language. This study aimed to develop, validate, and measure the effectiveness of a picture story E-Book to enhance autonomous learning and reading interest among third-grade students at elementary school. The research applied the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, involving three experts (content, instructional design, and media) and 24 students as 24 students as effectiveness subjects, 3 students for individual trials, and 9 students for small group trials. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive quantitative and inferential methods. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive quantitative and inferential methods. Data were collected using multiple-choice tests, questionnaires, interviews, and observations. Validation results showed very good categories, with scores of 94.79% for content, 100% for instructional design, and 92.50% for media. The effectiveness test used a paired sample t-test, showing tcount = 12.243 > ttable = 2.069 at a 5% significance level, indicating a significant difference before and after using the E-Book. The study concluded that the picture story E-Book effectively enhanced students' reading interest and autonomous learning. The study's implications support the development of innovative technology-based learning to improving Indonesian language learning.
