Abstract

Bamboo weaving SMEs have significant economic and cultural potential but face challenges in expanding access to global markets due to limited digital literacy and technology utilization. This study aims to examine the development of an e-commerce-based digitalization model to enhance SME competitiveness effectively and sustainably. Using a mixed methods approach, this research combines quantitative data from surveys of SME actors and qualitative data from interviews and direct observations. The findings indicate that digital literacy, training support, and infrastructure readiness are key determinants in driving e-commerce adoption. Meanwhile, major challenges include limited access to technology, language barriers, and lack of post-adoption assistance. These findings highlight the importance of a contextual, inclusive, and community-based digitalization approach. This study contributes to the formulation of adaptive digitalization strategies that support the sustainability and growth of SMEs in the global market.

Abstract

This study analyzes the potential of coconut-based agroforestry as a regenerative economy strategy to support environmental recovery and economic resilience in post-mining areas of North Konawe Regency, Indonesia. The study is motivated by the need to connect post-mining land recovery with more diversified and sustainable livelihoods. A mixed-methods approach with a convergent parallel design and case-study strategy was employed. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and secondary sources. The analysis combined descriptive statistics, interactive qualitative analysis, strategic-factor identification, and integrated interpretation to formulate the Coconut Regenerative Agroforestry Model (CRAM). Results from 30 respondents show that the potential of coconut-based agroforestry was perceived as high, with a mean score of 3.61. Perceived environmental benefits reached 4.00 and economic benefits 3.99, while community and institutional support reached 4.32. However, the perceived feasibility of using post-mining land for agroforestry was only 2.43, indicating a critical constraint. Respondents also identified diversification opportunities involving ginger, sengon, lamtoro, intercrops, potential livestock integration, and coconut-based processing. Based on the integrated findings, CRAM was formulated as a model linking land conditions, ecological restoration, coconut-based agroforestry, business diversification, value addition, community capacity, and multi-stakeholder institutions. The model positions ecological recovery as a prerequisite and economic regeneration as an interconnected outcome.
