Abstract

AbstractThis research was conducted to answer the problem of how science process skill of students of chemistry education FKIP UNTAN, Pontianak on the material properties of characteristic of colligative solution so that the purpose of this research is to describe the science process skill of students of chemistry education FKIP UNTAN, Pontianak on the material properties of characteristic of colligative solution. The subject of these studies amounted to 43 students of chemistry education courses of Basic Chemistry II 2015-2016 force. The form of this research uses descriptive research to describe the science process skill of the students. Research instrument used the science process skill test with indicators of asking questions, making hypotheses, analyze the data, and conclude. Data collecting technique used in this research is the measurement technique and direct communication. The results of the prosessing of data showed that the average science process skill of students every indicator on asking question, making hypotheses, analyze the data, and concluded of 77%, 50%, 42%, and 42% expectively, while the average science process skills every student including highly skilled, skilled, less skilled, and unskilled of 9%, 53%, 21%, and 16% expectively.  Keywords: Science Process Skill, Solution Colligative Properties

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the feasibility and the response has of teachers to formative tests oriented Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) on thermochemical materials. This research is development research (R&D) that referring to an addie development model adapted by an analysis, a design, Development, and the evaluation. The feasibility assessment of development results is the carryout by material experts and evaluations as well as linguists. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that hotsoriented formative tests are reviewed from the validity of the material and the evaluation and the language is considered very feasible with a percentage of 100%. The teacher a response to the development results was excellent with a percentage of 85.19%. The results of this study are very feasible for teachers to use in the evaluation of learning on thermochemical materials.Keywords: A formative Test, HOTS, Thermochemical, ADDIE.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to determine the level of feasibility and response of chemistry teachers to the performance appraisal instrument of the reaction rate practicum at Mempawah Senior High School. This research took the form of research and development (R & D) which adopted the development model of Borg & Gall. The subject of this study was the student performance appraisal instrument assessed by chemistry teachers at Mempawah Senior High School. The data collection instruments used was the feasibility questionnaire and the chemistry teacher response questionnaire. The results of data processing showed that the student performance appraisal instrument on the reaction rate practicum developed was very feasible (93.33%). The results of the initial trial of the chemistry teacher's response to the product were obtained with a total score of 79.54% with interpretation classified as good. While the main field tests, the teacher's response to the student performance appraisal instrument was obtained with a total score of 81.22% with interpretations classified as very good.Keywords:  Chemistry Teacher Response,  Feasibility, Reaction Rate, Performance Appraisal,

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to know the influence of learning models Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFE) a media-assisted learning towards student learning outcomes and activities on chemical bonding material in class X SMAN 2 Sungai Kakap. Form of research was quasy experimental with Nonequivalent Control Group Design.This form of research was research used experiment with this type of design used control group pretest posttest design.The population in this research was the whole grade X SMAN 2 Sungai Kakap. The technique of sampling was saturated sampling.Class X MIA I as class experiments and MIA X 2 as a control class. Data collection was performed with the measurement techniques, the techniques of direct communication, and direct observation technique.Data collecting instrument that was used in the form of test results of study essay and non-shaped test student activity sheet-shaped..The results of observation of the activity of the students class experiments showed that more active than the control class. Based on the results of the statistical tests using test U-Mann Whitney  with α = 5%, there was a significant difference between the results of the experimental class students and grade control. Learning model-assisted learning media SFE giving the influence of 20.88% against student learning results on chemical bonding material in class X SMAN 2 Sungai Kakap with a price effect size 0.50. Keywords:Activities, Chemical Bonds, Learning Outcomes,Student Facilitator and Explaining

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research is to determine the influence of the quantum teaching methods on student learning outcomes on the Periodic System of elements material at SMA Negeri 2 Mempawah Hilir. The form of research is used a quasi experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The sample of this research was class X MIPA 1 as a control class totaling 26 students and class X MIPA 2 as an experimental class totaling 24 students, with a population of class X MIPA totaling 50 students, and using saturated sampling techniques. Data collection techniques that is giving a score of answers to the questions pretest and posttest with data collection tools in the form of learning outcomes tests and interviews as supporting data. The indicator in this research is to explain how to charge electrons according to the Hund rules and Aufbau principles and to group the groups and periods of an element in the periodic table. Based on the analysis using the Mann Whitney U test (α = 5%) that is 0.001 ≤ 0.05 shows that there are differences in learning outcomes between students who are taught using the quantum teaching methods and students who are taught using conventional methods. The value of the effect size obtained was 1.64 and gave an effect of 44.95% to the increase in student learning outcomes.Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Periodic System of Elements, Quantum Teaching
