Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan disposisi matematis siswa yang ditinjau dari kemampuan problem solving. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah enam orang siswa kelas VIII J Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTs N) 2 Pontianak yang terdiri dari dua orang siswa memiliki kemampuan problem solving tingkat tinggi, dua orang siswa memiliki kemampuan problem solving tingkat sedang, dan dua orang siswa memiliki kemampuan problem solving tingkat rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan problem solving tinggi memiliki tingkat disposisi matematis sangat tinggi, siswa dengan kemampuan problem solving sedang memiliki tingkat disposisi matematis tinggi, sementara itu untuk dua orang siswa yang memiliki kemampuan problem solving rendah, satu di antaranya memiliki tingkat disposisi matematis tinggi, dan satu lainnya memiliki tingkat disposisi matematis sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara disposisi matematis dengan kemampuan problem solving pada subjek yang diambil.   Kata kunci: Disposisi Matematis, Kemampuan Problem Solving   Abstract: The purpose of this research is to describe students’ mathematics disposition that reviewed by problem solving ability. The method that used is descriptive method with case study. The subject of this research are six students of grade VIII J in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTs N) 2 Pontianak that consist of two students who have the highest ability of problem solving, two students who have medium ability of problem solving, and the last two students who have lowest ability of problem solving. The result of this research show that the students with high ability of problem solving have the highest mathematics disposition, the students with medium problem solving have high mathematics dispositions,  whereas for two last students with low problem solving, one of them have high mathematics disposition and other have medium mathematics disposition. Based on this research we can conclude that there is no association between mathematics disposition and problem solving ability on the subject in this research.   Keywords: Mathematic Disposition, Problem Solving Ability
