Abstract

AbstractThis research is aimed to recognize student?s error in completing quadratic inequalities questions based on the Newman method, besides that the researcher wants to discover student?s level of certainty using the Certainty of Response Index by examined the score that has been given and student?s learning style. The form of this research is a survey, therefore data presentation that has been done in the process of the research are the result of learning style questionnaire, quadratic inequalities essay test followed with CRI score by the students. The result from this research found that students with a predominantly visual learning style will conduct errors in transformation with low certainty level. Students with a predominantly auditory learning style will conduct errors in process skill and final result with high certainty level. Students with a predominantly kinesthetic learning style will conduct errors in process skill and final result with high certainty level.Keyword: Errors, Newman Method, Certainty of Response Index, Learning style

Abstract

AbstractRepresentation is central to study of mathematics. Students can develop and deepen their understanding of mathematical concepts and relationships as they create, compare, and use various representations. This research aimed to evaluate the students? ability of mathematical representation on the function subject matter. The subjects of this research were the students who had learn the function subject matter, they were grade VIII students of SMP Bumi Khatulistiwa. The method which used in this research was a descriptive  with case study. The technique of data collection were measurement technique and the direct communication technique. Based on the data analysis, generally the students? ability of mathematical representation in the middle categorized. The students could not represent the data correctly because the writer still found an error of their writing. According to the three types of representation which used such as visual representation, verbal representation and symbolic representation, the highest mean score was symbolic representation it was 16,07 ( 44,64%). Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa ditinjau dari aspek interpretation dalam penyelesaian masalah materi program linier di kelas XI SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif  dengan bentuk penelitian survei. Adapun yang menjadi subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIA 4 SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa ditinjau dari aspek interpretation secara keseluruhan berdasarkan skor hasil tes dan wawancara pada tiga indikator aspek interpretation yaitu mengkategorikan, menguraikan arti, dan mengklarifikasi maksud tergolong dalam kategori sedang. Sedangkan jika dilihat dari skor hasil tes dan wawancara untuk masing-masing indikator, kemampuan siswa pada indikator mengkategorikan tergolong sedang, pada indikator menguraikan arti tergolong sangat tinggi, akan tetapi pada indikator mengklarifikasi maksud tergolong rendah.   Kata kunci : Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis, Aspek interpretation Abstract: This reasearch aims to know students critical thinking skill based on interpretation aspect in problem solution of linear programm material in grade 11th at SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak. The research used descriptive method with survey research design. The sample of this research were students in grade XI MIA 4 at SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak. The data analyze result show that as whole, student critical thinking skill based on interpretation aspect from the score of  test result and interview in three indicators of interpretation aspect that are categorizing, decoding significance, and clarifying meaning  categorized in medium category. But, if we saw that from score of test result and interview in each indicator, students skill in categorizing classified in medium category, in decoding significance indicator classified in very high category, and in clarifying meaning indicator classified in low category. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada materi bangun datar di kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Teluk Keramat. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian survei. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 34 siswa kelas VIII B SMP Negeri 3 Teluk Keramat. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah tes esai dan pedoman wawancara tidak terstruktur. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam memahami masalah tergolong sedang dengan persentase 45,8%; kemampuan siswa dalam menyusun rencana permasalahan tergolong rendah dengan persentase adalah 31,6%; kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaiakan sesuai rencana tergolong rendah dengan persentase adalah 18,2%; dan kemampuan siswa dalam memeriksa kembali prosedur dan hasil penyelesaian tergolong rendah dengan persentase adalah 16,4%. Kata kunci : Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah, Materi Bangun datar Abstract: This research aims to describe the problem solving ability of students on  the  material about plane in grade VII SMP Negeri 3 Teluk Keramat. The  method used is descriptive method  with  the survey of the research. The sample of research is 34 the students of graude VIII SMP Negeri 3 Teluk Keramat. Data collection tools that used are a essay test and unstructured interview guides. The result data analysis showed that the students' ability to understand the problems classified is the middle with the percentage of 45.8% ;  students’ ability to prepare planing for the problems is low with the percentage of 31.6% ; students' ability to resolve the planing  in accordancing is low with the percentage of 18.2%; and students’ ability to re-examine the procedures and results of the completion  is low with the percentage of 16.4%.   Keywords: Problem solving ability, Plane  matherial

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to find out the ability of mathematical representation of students that have characteristics of concrete sequential, abstract sequential, concrete random, and abstract random thinking in grade XI at MA Mathla'ul Anwar Pontianak. This form of quantitative descriptive research, for the data collection techniques used are test techniques and indirect communication techniques. The data collection instrument used are polls and problems with test. It is obtained that students with characteristics different ways of thinking in relatively understand the context of the problem, can present the information provided in visual, verbal and symbol forms. Student with concrete and random sequential thinking types are students having high visual representation abilities, while student with abstract and random sequential thinking have high symbolic and verbal representation abilities. The ability of symbolic representation is the highest ability in every way of thinking students with a high percentage, then the ability of visual and verbal representation has the same percentage in the way of students thinking. Keywords: Ability of  Represenasi Matematis, Function, Characteritic way of thinking

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to describe society activity, mathematics content in Primary Education, and construct learning scenario of Betukah Tradition. The subject of this research are three people work as penjaja? from Dayak Tribe, three people work as penjaja? from Malay Tribe, a teacher from Dayak Tribe, and a teacher from Malay Tribe. The result and data analyze from subjects are (1) Society activity on Betukah Tradition consist of three steps, there are preparation step, process step, and final step; (2) Mathematics content on preparation step in Betukah Tradition are Sets in Grade, Numbers in Grade, Weight Measurement in Grade, Measurement in Grade, Plane in Grade, Identifying Characteristik of Plane in Grade, Circle in Grade, and Curved Face of Three Dimensional Objects in Grade. Mathematics content on process step in Betukah Tradition are Measurement in Grade, Direct Proportion in Grade, and Mathematics Operation of Multiplication and Division in Grade. Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas kegiatan remediasi terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa berdasarkan skripsi mahasiswa pendidikan matematika FKIP Untan tahun terbitan 2006 ? 2011. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian survei. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 17 skripsi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa effect size rata-rata yang dihasilkan sebesar 2,23 dengan kategori tinggi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan remediasi memberikan kontribusi sebesar 48,71% terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Karakteristik skripsi tidak memberikan pengaruh dan hubungan yang signifikan terhadap efektivitas remediasi. Remediasi pengajaran ulang merupakan kegiatan remediasi yang memiliki tingkat efektivitas paling tinggi dengan effect size rata-rata sebesar 2,54 dan memberikan kontribusi sebesar 49,45% terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Kata Kunci :Meta-analisis, remediasi, hasil belajar matematika Abstract : This research aims to determine effectivity of remediation for students? mathematics learning result based on thesis of mathematics education students of FKIP Untan that released on 2006 ? 2011. The research method that used is descriptive  study with survey research. The study sample is 17 thesis. The results of data analysis show that the average of effect size  obtained is 2,23 with high effectivity. It shows that remediation give a contribution at 48,71% to the result of  students? mathematics learning. There is no significant effect and relationship between thesis caharacteristics and effectivity of remediation. Repeating learning is a remediation with high effectivity that yields an average of effect size at 2,54 and give 49,45% of contibution to the result of students? mathematics learning. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  melihat  efektivitas  penggunaan  media  permainan  ular  tangga  pada  materi  operasi  bilangan  bulat. Metode  yang  digunakan  adalah  Quasy  Experiment dengan  rancangan  penelitiannya  time  series  design, dan sampel  penelitiannya  adalah  siswa  kelas  VII C  SMPN 5 Pontianak.  Instrumen  penelitian  ini  berupa  test  hasil  belajar,  lembar  observasi  dan angket  respon.  Hasil  analisis  data  menunjukkan  bahwa  ketuntasan  hasil  belajar  siswa  yang  diajar  menggunakan  media  permainan  ular  tangga  tidak  berpengaruh  secara  signifikan  karena  rata-rata  hasil  belajar  siswa  hanya  mengalami  peningkatan  sebesar  1,02.  Aktivitas  siswa  dikategorikan  aktif  dengan  presentase  rata-rata  sebesar  73,49%.  Respon  siswa  sangat  baik  dengan  presentase  sebesar  87,96%.  Kemudian,  kemampuan  guru  dalam  mengelola  pembelajaran  sangat  baik  dengan  skor  rata-rata  3,625  dalam  rentang  1-4. Kata Kunci: Permainan ular tangga, operasi bilangan bulat, hasil belajar, aktivitas belajar, respon siswa. Abstract: The study aims to know at the effectiveness of using a snakes and ladder game media of integer operation matter. The method that was used is Quasy Experiment with time series design and the samples were seventh grade students in C Class at SMPN 5 Pontianak. The instrument in this research is students learning result test, observation sheet, and questionnaire responses. Data analysis result show the pass of the student learning that using snakes and ladders game media had no an effect significantly. Because, the average of students learning increased only 1,02. A student activity was categorized active with 73,49% of presentage. An excellent student with 87,96% of presentage. Then, teacher ability in learning management is very well with 3,625 average score in 1-4 range. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita kontekstual. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian survey. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 35 siswa kelas XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis berbentuk essay. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam menyatakan kembali informasi penting dari soal cerita yang memuat masalah nyata (kontekstual) ke dalam bentuk tabel tergolong tinggi dengan persentase 62,38%; kemampuan siswa dalam menghubungkan dan menyatakan situasi nyata (kontekstual) berbentuk soal cerita ke dalam model matematika tergolong sangat rendah dengan persentase 19,05%; kemampuan siswa dalam menjelaskan jawaban dari permasalahan pada soal cerita yang memuat masalah nyata (kontekstual) secara sistematis tergolong sangat rendah dengan persentase 14,29%. Kata kunci: Komunikasi Matematis, Soal Cerita Kontekstul, Program Linear Abstract: This research aims to describe students‘ mathematical communication ability in solving of contextual word problems. The research method that used is descriptive with survey research. The subject of this research are 35 students grade XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak. The data collection instrument that used is written test in essay. The result of analysis data showed that the students’ ability to restate the important information from word problems that contains the real problem (contextual) into the tables is classified as high with percentage 62.38%; the students' ability to connect and state the real situation (contextual) in the word problems into a mathematical model is classified as very low with percentage 19.05%; the students' ability to explain the answer from the problem in word problems that contains the real problem (contextual) systematically is classified as very low with percentage 14.29%. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan keterampilan metakognisi siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika berbentuk open startpada materi perbandingan berdasarkan gaya kognitif siswa di kelas VII SMP Negeri 3 Pontianak tahun pelajaran 2015/2016. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian adalah studi kasus.Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah empat orang siswa kelas VII E yang terdiri dari dua orang siswa bergaya kognitif refleksif dan dua orang siswa bergaya kognitif impulsif. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah siswa bergaya kognitif refleksifdalam problem solving melaksanakan keterampilan metakognisi meliputi planning, monitoring, dan evaluating yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya indikator yang terpenuhi pada masing-masing komponen keterampilan metakognisi. Sementara itu, siswa bergaya kognitif impulsif dalam problem solving belum melaksankan semua keterampilan metakognisi meliputi planning, monitoring, dan evaluating yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya indikator yang belum terpenuhi pada beberapa keterampilan metakognisi.   Kata kunci :   Keterampilan Metakognisi, Problem Solving, Open Start, Gaya Kognitif   Abstract:This research aims to describestudent metacognition skillwhen solving proportion open start problemsbased on cognitive style of 7th grade students in SMP Negeri 3 Pontianak 2015/2016 school year. The research method is descriptive with case study.The subjects of this research are four students grade 7E consist of two reflective cognitive style students and two impulsive cognitive style students.The results of this research are the reflective cognitive style students in problem solving carry out metacognition skillthat are planning, monitoring, and evaluating indicated that the indicators are fulfilled in each component of metacognition skills. Meanwhile the impulsive cognitive style students in problem solving has not carry out all of metacognition skill that are planning, monitoring, and evaluating indicated that the indicators are unfulfilled in each component of metacognition skills.
