Abstract

Halal certification plays a strategic role in enhancing consumer trust in MSME products, particularly in Indonesia’s culinary sector. This study analyzes the integration of local wisdom in the halal certification process to strengthen acceptance and compliance among MSME entrepreneurs. A case study was conducted on Petis Umi Sulis, a business in Bantaran District, Probolinggo, with guidance from P3H and LPH UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Using a qualitative case study approach, this research employed observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the use of local raw materials, traditional production methods, and the application of religious values facilitate the halal certification process. Door-to-door mentoring by P3H proved effective in enhancing entrepreneurs’ understanding of halal regulations. Halal certification not only increases product competitiveness but also supports cultural preservation and community economic empowerment. Therefore, a local wisdom-based approach should be widely implemented with policy support to strengthen synergy between the government, academia, and business actors, fostering a sustainable and compliant halal business ecosystem.

Abstract

Cooperatives have the opportunity to empower their members who have businesses such as basic food traders, street vendors, and other tradesmen, to be able to offer PPOB payment services owned by cooperatives. The type of research used in this study is a qualitative method. From the results of research that has been done, there are factors that influence members in using the UGT Mobile application because it is easier to use than mobile banking in a number of banks, safer because it is easy to communicate and handle complaints, feel ownership because as a member is also the owner of a cooperative. BMT UGT members are less than optimal in using the UGT Mobile application due to lack of knowledge about the UGT Mobile application. The increase in fee-based income for BMT UGT is less than optimal due to the lack of maximum socialization of Mobile UGT to members of BMT UGT and the lack of equal distribution of employee knowledge in terms of the benefits of the Mobile UGT application
